Ocean trip is off
![]() INSTEAD we are doing a Virginia trip. We are going to see Natural Bridge, Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and Skyline Caverns. Scott won't be able to go down into the caverns with me but I wanted to see them and it only adds 10 minutes to the trip. Leaving Wednesday so I won't be online until Friday or so. Need downtime after I get back.

SHOULD be back to the gym more regular starting Monday. I'm back home (in Ohio) so I will have to bike to and from the gym but it'll be a nice warm up and cool down.

Nice work. I've been wishing I could take a bike to the gym...but it's a 30 minute drive for me one way...and lots of mountains. As much as I would like to save money on gas...I'll drive!

My ride is pretty flat as I'm on a bike train most of the way. I do ride through town, but no hills there either, thankfully. There is a slight hill I have to go up when I'm coming home before I turn onto my rode. THAT'S a killer.
July 24 Lifting - 33 minutes (only did 2 sets so I can see how it treat me with the biking) 131 average HR 167 max HR Biking (to and from the gym maybe around 14 miles round trip) - 1.6 hours (yes, I was slower today LOL) 161 average HR 185 max HR Deadlift - 90-10-10 Hamstring Curl - 40-15-15 Leg Extension - 40-15-15 Adductors - 40-15-15 Abductors - 40-15-15 Calf Raises - 45-10-10 Butt Lift - 15-15 Glute Kickback - 15-15 Side Bends - 10-20-20 Twists - 30-10-10 Lying twists - 15-15 Tomorrow is an OFF day. Thursday will be legs again. I can't do them on Friday because the gym closes earlier and since i waited for two hours after I got there to start lifting today, it would be closed before I got started.

So, things sort of slowed down due to crappy weather and lack of BM's, more the latter than the former. Still not feeling well and have had BM's today. I don't get it, I had been going every day and then didn't go yesterday morning. It has been downhill since then. Hopefully things will be working again by tomorrow. 3 days off is killing me.

Finally got back to the gym today.
Date: July 30 Time: 45 minutes Average Heart Rate: 111 Bench Press - 50-10-10 Pec Deck Flyes - 45-10-10-10 Rear Lat. Pulldown - 62.5-8-8 Pullover - 22.5-8-8-8 Lateral Raise - 7.5-8-8 Front Raise - 7.5-8-8 Concentration Curls - 20-8-8-8 Hammer Curls - 12.5-9-9 Triceps Pushdown - 37.5-8-8-8 Triceps Extension - 22.5-8-8 Lever Crunch - 55-20-20 Vertical Knee Raises - 20-20 Leg-Hip Raise - 20-20 Did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 on the stationary bike since I didn't ride there today. NOTHING like biking there, that's for sure. Average heart rates were 162 and 147 respectively. The Elliptical was better than the bike for cardio purposes.

I really am still around. Just haven't been frequenting the board much lately. The heat has put a pretty big hamper on biking to the gym 4 days a week. I have my aunt take me the two days she is off from work and lift and do cardio. When I'm home, I lift with what I have.
I can't wait until college so I can get to the gym consistently.

The heat can take a lot out of anyone. And from what I hear you folks have been having record highs out there. Taking care of yourself by not getting overwhelmed by the heat is a smart thing to do. You'll be back in the gym and training steady again before you know it.

i don't know when i'll start posting again. if i posted now, i'd get chewed up as my eating disorder seems to be coming back and i'm exercising more than ever.
i ate less than 350 cals yesterday and did 45 mins of lifting and an hour of cardio. until i can get myself in a healthier mind frame, i think i am going to refrain from keeping a journal. i don't think it would help and might hurt. i'm already keeping track of it all and just don't want people to see. if the above makes any sense. i'm really exhausted.

Still around, kind of. Have lost about 12 lbs since this summer. Hanging around 105-106 lbs instead of the 118 lbs I was this summer.
Getting ready to start the second semester. I have 5 classes (20 credit hours) and two jobs which will total maybe 7-10 hours a week. Lifting was on an off last semester but hopefully my classes will allow for a more consistent workout schedule. I'm hoping to finish reading two of my textbooks before the semester starts so that free up some time as well. Don't know if I'll keep a journal or not. Looking to do two contests, another fitness and a fitness model one. We'll see though. Classes come first so I need to see if the time I have planned to go to the gym will work with everything else.

Need to get my weight back up. This is too low for me. My avatar pic is from this summer at 116 lbs. Had a lot more muscle then when I was able to lift consistently. Hopefully this coming semester. . . Thanks. |
