Well, yeah, thanks for the tips and advice guys.

I think I'll just try what I said for two weeks, and then I'll tweak my weight training routine a little and see what kind of results I get.

Plus...I think smoothing out via pizza, doughnuts, beer and chips is the easy way out....I like to do things the hard way .
Nah...just kidding. I don't want to smooth out to be fat. I want to just make my muscles not so bulky. Lean them out.
(I swear if someone saw me, and I told them I was bulky, they'd probably smack me. But I'm bulkier than I want to be).

OK, normally today is my day off (sometimes I'll just do cardio though). But since I've decided to go about things a different way, today I did:

AM
Cardio - 30 minutes on elliptical

PM
Cardio - 40 minute dance/workout cd (hahaha...I love this thing....it's called "La Chica Fitness" and it's all this spanish dancing, but put into an exercise routine). I forgot how much I liked this video because I haven't done it in a while.

I think I'll do this two times each week during my cardio phase.

I love splitting up my cardio like that. I have a couple 'dance/exercise' videos and they are a blast as well as a nice change from the same ole-same ole cardio routine.

Yeah...I think I'm going to enjoy this little change of pace. I'm enjoying it already....even though it will only be for a short period of time.

I didn't get a chance to get in here yesterday and post, but:

6/28/07:
AM
Cardio - 25 minutes on treadmill - walked at 4.5mph w/a 4.0 incline.

PM
Pilates - 25 minute Pilates DVD - I really liked doing this. I felt so good afterwards....even though it was a little low on the intensity scale for me, but I felt great.

Today, so far...I've done:
Cardio - Treadmill, 15 minutes HIIT

I'll probably go to the gym during my luch hour today because I have a party to go to after work.

And I think that tomorrow I'm gonna go to the gym and do a little bit of legs along with my cardio too.

OK all, I'm about to go to the gym now to do some weekend workout.
I'll post what I did when I'm done...I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. LOL...I kinda like not having any set routine right now.

(BTW...I never made it to the gym during lunch yesterday...too busy, so my morning cardio was all I did for the day...wooops).

Well, today...I didn't do sh!t!
LOL.

Actually, I had a pretty long day. Just got in a few minutes ago.
My sister and I took our kids (my son, her three boys and a few of their friends from school to this amusement park all day today...note to self....never go to an amusement park with 2 five year olds, 2 six year olds, a seven year old and a ten year old again).

Then I went to my sister's, had some dinner and got my ass kicked in some Nintendo Wii games.

Anyway, she has this stupid digital handheld bodyfat calculator...I did mine and it came out to 17.6% bodyfat...haha. WTF? I don't have 17.6% bodyfat....well, if I do, I need to do even more cardio than I have been doing.
But I did it with calipers too, and it came out to 10%. So, whatever. I don't know.

I can explain how those things work and it isn't by calculating your bodyfat. It takes your height, weight, and age and has a program that presents an average of people with your build and stats.

Read: It doesn't mean sh!t. I could be 3% and that thing would say that I'm 28.5% because I weigh over 240lbs.

You are not 17.6% bf.

Why isn't 17.6% close? With a 9% women specific fat that would put her at a mens comparable BF of 8.6 That sounds close, +- 1

I think that 17.6% is pretty high for me. (I don't think that it's that high for a female...but it for me, it's kinda high).
Every single time I've ever gotten my bodyfat tested, it's been much lower than that....
My results are almost always between the 10-12% range.
Three months after I had my son, I got it tested and it still only came to 13%. I really don't carry much bodyfat in any particular area either.

I told my sister not to put too much stock in the results of a handheld bodyfat calculator....to me, there's no way that something can tell you your bodyfat just by putting your height, age, and weight into a machine.

Jennifer,

Post some of the pics of your stomach, legs and back and he'll see why it isn't accurate. She's extremely low - and with her small build, she isn't holding that full 9% more than a man would.

I didn't say it wasn't close, I just guarantee she's a couple of percent lower than that. She isn't holding any fat at all. I'm not going to go as far as saying she's down to 10, because breast tissue alone will put a girl over 10, but she's pretty damn low - maybe borderline too low (physically speaking).

You ever had any female related problems, Jd? I think I've asked that before and you said no - most females as lean as you probably would, but I think you're pretty lean naturally anyway so that works with you.

OK....here's a few pics that I had access to right now....(LMAO...this one of my legs, I painted because what I was wearing was kinda sheer, so I didn't want to give out free shows...so please ignore my artwork)

Breast tissue??? I don't have that!
HaHa!

But seriously, to answer your question, no I don't have any problems at all...I'm very normal actually. (well, at least as far as female problems go - LOL).
Yeah, I've basically been lean my whole life. Not as lean as I am right now, but pretty lean.
