Jesse...you're just saying that because you're a nice guy.
I can take it though...I know I was hideous.

BUT...I went to the doctor yesterday, and since I've had Aidan, I've lost about 35 pounds. (34 to be exact).
Now, I gained about 60 with him (I swear it was the pre-eclampsia), and people used to tell me that I was too thin before I got pregnant, so I figure if I lose another 20 pounds, I'll be happy...then I can just fine tune whatever is left.

So, I've mainly been working on dropping the fat first, then I'll go back to normal and work on muscle development AND fat loss.

I know I haven't posted in a few days, but I've been doing my interval training for 4 days straight now. (I just did 15/15 sprints/jogs).

I've also been doing my resistance training each day because I don't want to completely neglect my muscles, and I know I'll burn more fat that way too. So, I do full body workouts with resistance bands.
I'm doing squats, core work, shoulders, tris, bis, back and chest with my personal trainer....hahahaha....my personal trainer is Tony Horton (the guy that makes the P90X workouts). I've been using DVDs at home with the resistance bands.

My plan to go back to the gym this week didn't work out because I forgot that between yesterday and early next week I have 5 doctor appts (for me and for Aidan), and then I have my 8 year old that does karate, soccer, and band and I'm running around like crazy.
So, until this dies down a little, I can't really find the time. (I'm thinking that when I go back to work, I'll hit the gym during my luch hour...one of my gyms is right down the block, so I'll work out for like 45 minutes and then shower and go back to work)

Good job on the loss. You'll get it sorted. It was always hectic for me trying to train when I was running my kids. I never seemed to be able to make a 'full week' of training with all their stuff...but it always worked out okay for me in the end.

I am glad Hawkwind answered Jen as I was going to say that I can hardly deal w/ one, let alone 2! Just do the best you can for now. Of course you are focused on the newborn, what mother wouldn't be? Then you have the busy 8 year old (pssssssst. They get busier! ) that you have to support and cheer on. There ain't no manuals for all of thins but people like Hawkie and Robyn sure can be of help...

Good job on the loss Jenny. You'll be "back" in no time!!! I can feel you on the weight gain. I've always gained 60+ pounds with each pregnancy, weighing in at 200+ each time. The last two I had high blood pressure which required bed rest for the last month. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing, but man it can wreak havoc on our bodies!

The busy-ness with the kids I can relate to also. I have 2 older kids in soccer, swimming, after school TAG programs and the like and a younger one who needs constant attention being that she is only 18 months old! This is why I work out at 5am! Otherwise, I'd NEVER have time!!!!!

Keep up the good work!

Oh, I would love to go to the gym at 5am. My gym opens at 5, but my fiance leaves for work at about 5:30am....so it doesn't give me any time to do anything....then he doesn't get home til around 10 at night....it stinks.

So, instead of just making an excuse and saying I don't have the time for it (because I firmly believe that if there's a will, there's always a way)...I have to work it into my schedule randomly during the day.

Normally, I do my cardio in the mornings at about 5:30am...I can just hop on the treadmill though, so that's easy. It's the weights that I'll have to figure out. But I think that the lunch hour thing is my best option.

This is what I like about this board. There's alot of parents here that have to work schedules and issues out with their families, but because there's the discipline and determination, you somehow manage to make the time.

You guys are great.

Doesn't it seem like there is never enough time. With the whole Job, Kids, and everything else... Wow... But when the heart and dedication is there like you said Jen all is possible, and we know that you have both of those... So in short "We have more time than life" So somehow we will make extra time.!!
