Default Hanna's training journal

I don't know what I'm training for exactly - just training to be better than I am now I suppose. I need to write my stuff down...so hopefully it will help me to not be a slacker. Plus I can have a special place to post my ramblings.

Nice Hanna....looking forward to reading this.
You're pretty badass when it comes to training, and I like your ramblings.

I was thinking of starting one, but I get bored with myself and wouldn't feel like posting anything.

Morning ramblings
I have a lot of energy this morning, like I drank too much coffee...almost like an anxious feeling. Not sure why, I think I just have this type of personality or something.

I posted last night how I went on a run and it was the first time I ran this entire course without walking...sort of a milestone for me. I had been able to run almost all of it, except would just stop after going up this steep hill to wait for my legs to stop burning ...but this time I pushed through and made it back home and then even decided to extend it further and go around our block. I quit smoking 6.5 months ago and my life has totally changed. I am a walking public service announcement! I used to think I was healthy, but I was not! My resting pulse rate was like 78, now it is 54. My lungs would burn when I ran before my muscles burned, now I can carry on a conversation when I run and sometimes I even sing along to my mp3 player (only when I am running out of ear shot ... I hope.) My skin is awesome now, my clothes smell great...I smell great, my hair actually smells like the product I use, instead of a mix of smoke and hair care product.

Smoking is a horrible habit for anyone! I was ashamed, now I'm free! haha

LOL! Thanks! I was in the closet smoker because I was ashamed of it. It was a disgusting habit and felt that it was holding me back health-wise, but also even in my career...no one smokes anymore!

Yes I did lose all that I had gained - slow as a mo fo though. LOL

If I did not slack off so much I could have lost it sooner and then some.

I did gain like 13 lbs and I've lost about 13 lbs.

Congrats on staying off the nicotine hanna.

I was sick not too long ago, and whenever I would run I felt like someone who smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day....or at least how I'd assume they would be.
It's not a fun feeling at all.

I'm glad you feel better and smell better now. LOL.

Friday - 06/15/07, nada

Saturday -
am - 2.5 mile run at my favorite trail near my work while hub and kids played in the park, 22 minutes, then husband decided he wanted to see if the trail really was 2.5 miles and as hilly as I said it was...so I went again, this time though we walked and ran some of it, but I mostly had to walk cause my son was riding his razor and he kept having to pick it up and walk with it cause of too many rocks or hills. we walked/jogged it in 32 minutes.

We are sort of celebrating father's day today, so I got treats for the hubby and I had a couple. - white chocolate truffles...yum.

After 8 I plan on hitting the weights.
