Saturday: Cardio/abs. I also threw in a back workout.. did some pulldowns, rows, pullovers and some assisted pull-ups. It was a pretty good idea to get that in my Saturday morning.

Sunday, did 20 minutes on the treadmill and some Ab work.

Threw in leg workout …

Tri Sets:
Cybex squat press 21s – 90x21x4 toes out, straight, in
Leg Extensions: 30x14x2, 40x10x2 - toes straight for 7/ in for 7
Step ups: 12 right/left then alternated on each set after: 12x4

Box squats on Smith:
50x12x2
70x10x2

One legged squats – Smith:
40x10x4

sldls:
90x12x4

lying curls:
30x14x2
40x12x1
50x8x1

butt blaster:
50x10x2 right/left
60x8x2

OUT !!!! It was a good leg workout..

lol... yes my hams are busted still today! I would say it wasn't a bad leggies day. You know my shoulders and arms have always been my better parts.. Now I can't get enough of my legs.. !!!!

Monday's workout:
Chest:

DBs Flat:
25x12x1
30x12x1
35x8x1
40x1x1 – lol.. haven’t attempted the 40s in a long time. I took a long rest between the 35s and these 2 to get them done by myself. I know I probably should’ve just jumped to them instead of hitting the 35s, but I will next time and try to get a few more reps in. FELT good!

Smith incline:
50x10x2
70x8x2

Glass flies:
15x12x4

Assisted dips – John holding my feet, lol:
8x4

Shoulders:
Lever press: parallel grip
20x20x2
30x14x1
40x8x1

Arnolds:
10x12x2
15x10x2

DB lat raises:
10x12x2
15x10x2

rear flies on pec:
20x10x2
30x8x2

thursday 11/1:

Cybex squat press:
110x12x2 – weight was already there, so I went with it, was gonna start @ 90
200x10x2

Hack press – rocked these very low toes ducked:
No plates, 12x2
50x8x2

Sumos on smith:
50x10x2
70x10x2

Lift lunges on the smith:
Smith only
12x2 right then left
20x12x1 “ “

Extensions:
30x16x2 toes straight for 8, pointing in for 8… worked these very slow.
40x12x2 “ “

SLDLS:
50x12x2
70x10x2

forgot to add my lying leg curls:
40x10x2
50x8x2

butt blaster:
60x10x4

went lighter than I wanted but pretty intense and I am feeling that today for sure!

I plan on doing legs on Monday again and then doing them again at the end of next week. I likes the 2xs a week for legs.

Cardio/abs tonight and tomorrow.

Things are going well. Training and such is at its best. I finally got a new car, hehe for those of you that always heard about my car that had a gazillion miles on it. So now I have a safe and nice ride.. Life is good right about now!

Getting ready for the holidays and ughhh the brutal cold here.... Is it spring yet, lol...

Hope everyone is doing well and achieving their goals.. chaos

Thanks Michael.. can I call you Michael rather than schmichael..

My training is going great; its been pretty explosive. I have put on a little more mass in my back (see pic below.. excuse the crappy cell camera, santa will hopefully bring me a new one for xmas ) and am still working on other areas that were lagging.

I feel great and getting plenty of rest. Goals well for now they are all in CHECK .. The calories have gone up and now I am gonna just eat more and train harder throughout the winter.

ok, mike. THE BF right about now? I have no clue, lol. With all my car drama over the last few weeks, well I had to can my appts until I could get out there safely. Now my coach is on vacation till next week, grrrrrr!

But thats ok, I am not concerned with the BF right now, because the mirror and the clothes tell me its all good. I have a show in May and one in June that I am gonna prepare for come next year. So there is a hell of alot of time to put on some nice mass. I am gonna be working with a pro bber that I met @ a show over the next few weeks, but its all timing with meeting up as he just finished training for a show he did a few weeks ago and placed 2nd. I also have a few coaches that I will meet while I am off for xmas break to see who is a better fit, etc.

How about you Mike? How is your training going and your wife.. .did you get her motivated or what, lol

Great Day.. I am out for a bit now, but will come back to check in from time to time!

i hope you're planning on keeping us updated with your show prep and results!!

my training is going good. doing a 5 x 5 routine working full body 3 times a week. i like it. i'm about to start setting some PR's weekly so i'm hoping to sustain this for 8 more weeks!! i'm carb cyclingish as well and the BF is leaving me which i'm happy about.

my wife hasn't started lifting yet but i'm still planning on using your transformation as her motivation!! hope you don't mind.

its been a while and I haven't been updating my journal anywhere, lol well except one board. Still hard at training and even harder this week. The diet fell off the wagon for a few days with the holidays but is now back in full effect. I think the thing that I messed up the most was the lack of water. But have been hydrating much of late and am starting to feel some of the bloat disappear, slowly. I been training mostly all week doing cardio in the morning and strength in the evenings. My cardio has been 30 minutes on the spin bike.. heavy resistance and just going balls to the walls, oops, I been using that term alot lately.. Isn't that a song? I thought I saw it on my satellite dial - well been doing about 1 minute of just regular riding and then anywhere from 15 - 30 second sprints at the high resistance. My quads are really feeling the torture for those sprints, but its the only way I am going for a few till I ride out this excess fat I know I put on.

Anyhow, will try to update as much as possible...

Yo yo yo... DROPPED by to say hello and let everyone know I am right on track.

8 weeks out = check
diet clean as hell = check
posing practice and getting better = check
mental focus = SUPER CHECK

I am doing great... Feeling good and only lacking a bit of memory loss, lol. on lo carb days, well I usually put something in the fridge that belongs in a cabinet. Kaila has been keeping me very busy.. she has so much going on with school and well just keeping her active.

Life is very good right about now and off to getting better.

Keep up the great work CC! You have a lot more determination and discipline then I have. No way I would want to go the dietary restrictions necessary for a contest. I enjoy eating WAY too much.

Stay focused! Stay strong!

Keep pushing forward.
