Just got down to Miami Beach from visiting mom. I worked out 4 days @ PowerHouse, strength training. The gym was about 1.5 miles from my mom's, so she dropped me off and I walked back, got my cardio in there too
Whatta a gym, excellent equipment and real hardcore training. It was a great place and I am gonna miss it. I am in Miami Beach now for a few days spending the 4th and hope to find a gym close by. Otherwise, I will just rollerblade on the strip as planned. I bought the sun with me from Tampa, it had been raining before I got here for days and its beautiful out now. Little Havana, all the way. Have a Happy and Safe 4th! Miss you guys,

Well chica, wish I had known you were so close! Tampa is about 1 1/2 hours North of me. I did feel a change in the "force" though!

Back from vacation yesterday and had a great time, got tons of R&R, sun and sleep. I needed all of the above. Since I didn't get to strength train while in MB, I went to the gym and took a spin class yesterday. I am gonna try to get another spin class in today and get back on track with strength training tomorrow. I gotta get my hair done today..my color was ruined with all the sun, salt water and some chlorine.
lol, I now need a vacation from Kaila. She had me worn out whatever time we were on the go. I was able to get out a few nights in Miami with my cousin and enjoy some of the nightlife. Hopefully I get to get down to West Palm with my friend mid August, 3 day weekend. My uncle just got a place in Punta Gorda too, so I can try to get out on a free weekend. I actually ate pretty decent during the day, but the nights killed me from going out for dinner or drinking. I actually lost 3 pounds, which is always cool Kaila had a blast and saw some of her little friends from last summer. Who said Summer Loving was gone, not for that little girl. Well looks like you had great weather and wonderful vacation. As cute as the your pics are I am afraid Kaila's is the best. Sorry, she wins!
Punta Gorda is just North of me so drop me a PM when your in the area! Not at all like Miami and the waves are not as big here on the Gulf side.

It has some nice beaches but it is so different from the east coast. No big waves or anything. It is not nearly as entertaining as Miami Beach either. Since your from NJ/NY area you are used to the energy of the big cities like Miami Beach has. Punta Gorda will seem like you just walked into Green Acres! LOL. A pace I am quite comfortable with even though I grew up right outside of D.C. and spent quite a few weekends in NYC!

I took 2 spin classes over the weekend, so won’t go overboard with cardio this week. The weather has been very humid here in NJ. I left the house today and you could see the thickness in the air. My allergies are on the rise again, but not sure why there isn’t much pollen around these days. Maybe it’s the fish, lol. Don’t know, but have been taking my allegra for the past few days. I have these splitting headaches too. Tonight is leg night, can’t wait! ![]()

Legs got canned last night. I worked out with Tara again, since John was doing chest. I had a rough day yesterday, too much going on to eat all day, so I basically got thru the day on 1 good meal and 3 cups of coffee till I trained (don't know how I made it thru the wo).
Back/traps workout. I am sorta out of it to type aways, so I won't go into detail. I did however, go up in my DB weights for rows.. I hit finals of 50s for 6 reps each. My lats feel good today, SORE, but I am happy to have gone up in weight. I think I will stay at that number for now. John gave me a nice pep talk. He is a bit concerned that I have gotten too skinny and keeps telling me my muscle is starting to suffer - I know this, but hopefully will pick myself back up again next week. I have this horrible twitch in my left bicep/tricep and the tension is just killing me - its pulsating constantly! I am having trouble sleeping for the past few days since I got back from vacation. Last night, I was so mentally drained that Kaila put me to sleep, lol. She was laying with me and we were talking and she was twirling my hair, LIGHTS out! I was woken by my cell later and then couldn't go back to bed. The mind is such a powerful form of caffeine. Again, today not enough food, except my first meal and a muscle milk rootbear - I am not crazy about the flavor, but I had to get something in me. I went for a pedicure to relax myself and oh well, the girl almost got a throat punch, lol. Just got out of a training session, which I had attended many times, but here you gotta go thru process, by process over,over,over. My boss is lucky she is a great lady, because a throat punch #2 could have occurred. I am gonna go tan later (I think I have become a tan addict) and then hit shoulders/tris tonight.

Wow, what a night. I had a bad night, no sleep and alot going on. But I did get to the gym yesterday and had a good workout. Helped me relieve some tension.
Shoulders: Barbell press: warmup barbell only no weight 10x1 20x10x2 30x10x2 DB presses: 20x10x2 25x8x2 I wanted to go up to 30's, but I had no food in my system to get the strength to move up in weight. side raises, machine; 20x10x4 Tris: Cable pushdowns curly bar: 35x12x4 superset with cable pushdowns 30x10x4 Skulls: 40x10x3 It has been a very crazy week for me. I have had alot going on mentally and that is all my fault. I can't believe I let people and emotions get the best of me. I had lost touch with alot of things in my life. I am going to get thru the weekend and start my life fresh next week. Johnny told me once "Its ok to lose your heart, but never lose your mind"! I had lost both, but I have alot to get done soon and have to get it back together for not only myself, but for Kaila. She needs me to be in one piece. John has been such a great friend to me and is always there when I need a shoulder to cry on. He better get the box of kleenex out, lol. I am so grateful to have him in my life, along with so many other great people I have met this year. He has been my inspiration this year to get back in shape. He has great belief in me when I have doubt. But that is what a good friend is for, they believe in you and lift you up when you are down. I am taking some time off of work, to spend some alone time. Kaila is with her dad tonight and thru the weekend. I think I will go have some fun now.

LOL, time off of work got canned. I had to come in today to get something done since I was around. Now, I have more to do. This place is never ending.
Last night was leg day - we mostly did supers on all, so it went quick, but was quite exhausting. Being mentally drained didn't help either, but I got thru it. 21s, leg press, front squats and extensions (we bounced right into one from the other, no break in between each). I literally felt like was gonna pewk when we were done. These 21s blow so much energy out of all of us. Leg press: 200x10x3 Front Squats: 70x10x3 Extensions: 70x10x3 Sumo Squats/Supersets cable rear lunges: sumos: 70x10x3 lunges: 50x10x3 Seated curls: 70x10x2 90x8x1 Deads on some cable unit by life fitness: 90x10x3 Life fitness glute machine: 130x10x3 Chest tonight. I told John that we need to venture into some new exercises. We often change it up, but I feel like my muscles are just getting settled. I need something new; a change. I have been dedicated to getting to the gym, but I am feeling like I have hit a plateau in some of my lifts. I also feel like my muscles aren't moving along. I am getting somewhat bored. We talked about alot of things, he also made me cry. Some tears of sadness, but mostly anger. Anyhow, he told me that basically the only thing in this world that should matter to me is "Kaila". Everyone else could go get *ucked! lol, he luvs to curse. My lord, he needs some soap for that dirty mouth, but he is right. In the end, she is the only one that is worthy. She will never betray me or shut me out. I am going to spend some quality time with her on Sunday, just mommy and K. A few friends are going white water rafting this weekend - lets see if I can get motivated to spend the whole day on a river. They are gone from 7am - 8pm! Long day and drive. I wouldn't mind spending some time on a lazy river, rowing haha - but I have alot to do this weekend, especially catch up with my true love. Can't wait to see her. Hope ya'll have a good one! Peace!

Friday 7/13 - Only bad luck I had was a leak in my front tire.
Chest smith press: 50x12x1 warmup 100x8x3 DB incline press: 30x10x3 cable 21: upper mid low 20x21x3 lever push: 150x10x2 175x8x1 200x2x1 Bis - Bis 21s plate loaded lever and superset with barbell (10 reps) 35x21x2 45x21x1 (spot) DB inclines: 20x14x2 25x12x2 Treadmill 40 incline frrom 2.8 - 3.0 speed. Saturday - I took a spin class in the morning (usually take them mid morning or early afternoon on the weekends). The class was not the usual 45 minutes - 1 hour, it was 1.5 hour. It was good and I kept up with it in its entirety. I think I will take this one instead of the hour one every saturday, it got me energized for the rest of my day. I spent my Sunday with my little monkey. We went to the park, ran around doing some errands and then I took her to dinner. I hadn't seen her all weekend, so the day was super special! Back/traps tonight..
