I’m Back
Tuesday, 2/20/07: Leg Extensions, Plate Loaded: 2 sets 45 pd plates, 8 reps 2 sets 70 pd plates, 8 reps Hack Squat (after the 2nd set of this exercise my quads were bursting with pump): 4 sets, 25 pd plates, 21 reps, 7 reps toes pointing straight, 7 outwards and 7 inwards Seated leg press, one leg @ a time: 4 sets 45 pd plates, 10 reps Seated leg press Life fitness machine: 2 sets, 150 pds, 8 reps 2 sets, 165 pds, 8 reps Lying leg curls: 2 sets, 50 pds, 8 reps 2 sets, 60 pds, 6 reps Kneeling leg curl (one leg at a time): 4 sets, 40 pds, 8 reps This was a very exhausting workout. We were all so tired getting close to the last exercise. I was yawning Legs really kills your entire body, but it was definitely well worth it. I had taken pretty much all of last week off and was really down about it. Tonight is Chest and Bis night… I can’t wait till 4:30pm to leave work and head off to the gym.. what a great feeling!!!! Next week we are going to do Sumo Squats in our leg workout!

My legs aren't too sore yet, but tomorrow, well they will be shot I am really enjoying the fact that we try to do a few different exercises every time and switch it up. I have definitely noticed that the strength that is there is coming out.

Today, I am very sore from leg workout, which was way over 24 hours ago. This morning, I had to slide down the staircase and literally crawl back up. Not to mention, that I still have a pump in my quads. I am walking pretty funny after sitting for long periods
Wednesday, 2/21/07: Chest: Incline Bench Smith: 2 sets, 25 pd plates, 10 reps 2 sets, 35 pd plates, 8 reps Plate loaded bench press: 4 sets, 25 pd plates, 8 reps Lever Chest dip (leaning on the machine, feet on floor): 3 sets, 100 pds, 10 reps 1 set, 125 pd, 6 reps Cable crossovers: 3 sets, 25 pds, 10 reps Pec deck: 3 sets, 30 pds, 10 reps Bis: Lever preacher curl: 3 sets, 30 pds, 8 reps (J, made me hold the handles with my palms facing inwards and as I bought the weight up twisting my palms upwards. Cable curls: 3 sets, 30 pds, 10 reps (this one we did lying down, almost as if you are lying for skull crushers, but doings curls, weird, but it was a good one) Isolated lateral Bicep curl (hammer strength machine): 2 sets, 20 pds, 10 reps 1 set, 30 pds, 7 reps I don’t think I will be able to manage any cardio tonight, unless my legs feel better later on. I wanna hit the cardio wave machine, which will work mostly quads, hams, glutes. Not sure if my legs could handle another few days of soreness. Back and Abs tonight.. Lets see what the cat has in store for this mouse in our workout! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr Wish me luck

I have found that the best way to get over leg soreness is cardio, especially the day or two after. Fell better, I'm dealing with the same hing right now. Going down the stairs at work the day after legs this week was brutal.

And believe it or not, working out in a group of 3 and I am in and out of the gym in 1 hour 20 minutes. some of the peeps @ the gym have actually said to John "aren't you training her a bit hard"???? "His reply, nope, she is pretty strong for a girly girl and can handle it"... He has more faith in me than I do sometimes..Sore tomorrow, well that is a different story. Whoot whoot!

Chest: Bench Press (Smith) 4 sets, 30 pd plates, 8 reps Iso Lateral Incline Press: 4 sets, 45 pound plates, 8 reps Iso lateral decline Press: 2 sets, 45 pd plates, 8 reps 2 sets, 55 pd plates, 6 reps DB flies (hands straight and cross over on execution) 2 sets 10 pd dbs, 10 reps 2 sets, 15 pd dbs, 10 reps 22 minutes, cardio wave Last night was a quick workout. Johnny had a chiro appt, so he couldn’t make it Doug and I worked out together and we stayed focus.. But sometimes I wonder what he is smokin’ … he is way too happy
