Wow time fly's. I'm down to a month before the brown belt test. Mostly just doing cardio in the mornings , not too much with weights, it just doent fit right now. I'm just trying to focus on speed and endurance. Not so much strength right now. Weapons we working boken (wooden swords) Im not so crazy about it. My choice is the bo staff.
I'm also stepping up my vocal training. About a month ago I took on a voice coach. In 4 weeks I have increase my range by half an octive. 3 notes shyof an open voice, three octives. I took front stage for the first time wednsday night. AWESOME! Only about 200 people.. My goal is to be front stage solo for our productions which is about 15,000 people in the week. maybe by christmas..?? fingures crossed.

Awesome stuff KT! I love bo staff work myself. Very cool on the voice coach and singing. I gave up my singing after my sinus surgery. I sometimes miss the Christmas program our church did and sometimes I find myself singing some of my favorite solo's from back in the day...but not enough hours in my day to return to singing! It's all good though...I'm happy with what I do and that's all that counts! Sounds like you are in a very good place for you and that rocks.

this past months has been a real challenge for me.
About four weeks ago i injured my foot. At first it was seeming to be broken. Thank God it wasn't. But it was sure painful. Funny thing is i did it to myself. I managed to keep up what i could weight wise but no karate clas for three weeks. THEN...first class back i shreaded my lower abdominal muscles, goofin around. At the time felt like freddie kruger sliced my stomach open. OMG it hurts so bad.. Immediately upon the injury i broke out into a cold sweat and nausea. DONE stick a fork in me. ITs only been recent that im able to laugh without bucking over. In all that i was real strict on my diet. ( i sometimes use exercise as a green light to eat what i want) So the month wasnt a complete wash. I dropped some body fat. All in All things are great! Im excited about the thing coming up. I've been asked to take on assistant in three classes a week at the dojo. Which i gotta say Im honored. Of all the people to choose for that they picked me. I was invited to sing in a summer concert series thru the preforming arts center where i do my voice training. At the first of August I will be singing solo backed by 125 voice chior. This is monumentous for me. really excited. Some really great things have come my way. IT just goes to show with the right motivation and drive anything can happen!!!! God is good.
