Default Almost there...

Quick snap of the midsection. This is as lean as ive been yet. Sitting just under 210lbs now. Bodyfat is right at 10% now which has been my long standing goal but i dont quite have the abs im seeking yet. However im lean as sh!t every where else. My arms and legs look like a roadmap with all the veins. Funny how people hold on to the last bit of fat in different places.

Nice work Mitch.....proof that it doesn't happen overnight and takes quite a bit of dedication.

And......that you can still beat up some Taco Bell once in a blue moon.

You look great Mitch...very lean.
I hold onto the last bit of fat in my midsection too, so I feel ya.

Even though you'd like your abs to come out a bit more, I think you look mahvelous. Two thumbs up from me. lol.

Thanks everyone.

And Ren, yes it has been a slow process and i enjoy me some taco bell and blue moon, quite frequently to be honest. I started this cut in January at around 18%bf so its taken me 6 months to lose 8%, thats not fast by any means. I havent done anything real drastic with my diet, keeping my sanity is more important. I just recently dropped carbs from meals 2 and 3 and just started doing cardio this week.

In fact i never diet for more than 2 straight days...ie i eat clean Mon, tues, thurs, and friday till about dinner time. The rest of the time i eat or drink whatever i want, i just dont go overboard. I also drink alcohol on the weekends and on Wednesday(golf league, lol) but not to excess, usually 3-4 drinks/beers but never more than 6. So it just goes to show that if you eat clean 60% of the time and dont over do it the other 40%, that the net result over time will be positive. Just gotta be in it for the long haul and not expect instant results.

Anyhow, for now im gonna stick to the same diet, focus on building up my chest as i think its lagging a bit, and also focus more on direct ab work and more cardio. Another month and i should be where i want to be.

For kicks, heres an unflexed shot of my arms. Maybe ill throw a leg shot in if i ever get a tan. lol

So you pretty much just used some common sense, a little bit of commitment, didnt go overboard or to the extreme, added in some cardio and finally just allowed nature to take it's course? Awesome!

I began the same approach a few months back, but I havent added in any cardio as of yet, but thats my next step. I'd like to get up 30 mins earlier, maybe do some HIIT like 3-4 days a week.

If I can ask?

1.) When you do you lift and at what meal is your pre-workout meal?

[Edit] - And yes, 8% BF loss in 6 months seems decently fast if you ask me....sh!t I'd take it and be proud....Nice work again bro

.

Yep that pretty much sums it up. lol

I usually lift around 530pm. Heres what my diet looks like on a clean day:

730- SHAKE- 2 scoops of protein, half cup oats in water
1030-6 oz chicken breast, half cup cottage cheese
200- Muscle milk rtd OR chicken and cottage cheese
430(preworkout)- Can of tuna, 1 or 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 8 oz milk
700(post workout)- SHAKE 2 scoops of protein, 3-4 large strawberries strawberries
800- 6 oz chicken breast, 1 cup mashed potatoes or baked beans, half cup cottage cheese

Go to bed around midnight

I may add some HIIT next week or possibly some AM emty stomach cardio, i havent decied yet.

So what kind of results have you gotten so far?

That looks a lot like what I've been really keeping myself to of late...not exactly but similar. Hopefully I can make the same kind of progress you have - great work broski.

LOL we are just about on the exact same schedule.
I lift at 5pm and go to bed around Midnight too.

And that diet is pretty damn similiar to what I have been doing as well. But I will admit, I have been "chicken less" lately. I dont know how you can do all that chicken bro, I am chickened out big time as of lately. I eat alot of red meat. I buy skirt steak from Costco.

I have had some marginal success, I think the biggest coming from the cutoff time of eating (I dont eat past dinner, 7:30PM), but your thread inspires me to kick it up a notch

What kind of cardio have you been doing?

Dude, im SICK of chicken in a big way. Once a week ill cook up a porterhouse or ribeye(trim as much fat off as possible) to break up the monotony but for the most part i just buy a couple 5lb bags of frozen chik breast and cook it all up at once and choke it down during the week. I cant eat it plain either, i usually marinade it in BBQ sauce or Pineapple juice and soy sacue.

Also, I was eating right up till bedtime and even in the middle of the night sometimes right up till about 2 months ago, then i hit a bit of a wall and implemented a 4 hour cutoff. Honestly thats the worst part, going to bed hungry and waking up in the middle of the night even hungrier, but it had to be done.

As for the cardio i just walk on the treadmill for 15-20mins after i lift but im gonna add some more next week.
