Hey all! After almost 9 months of dedication with my diet and workout, I finally feel comfortable enough to to show you guys how I've come along. I unfortunately don't have any old shirtless pictures, as I was always disgusted with myself. Fortunately, this summer is shaping up to be one for the books if I keep this up.
Thank you to everyone who offered their support, experience and advice on these forums. It was and will continue to be invaluable to me. Current Stats: Weight: 182.3 (256lbs start) Height: 5'11 bf%: ? Waist: 32"/34" (40" start) Please feel free to say whatever you want to, I have thick skin. Please keep in mind though that I am still going to try to cut another 5-10lbs depending on how my abs are coming along as well as trying to get my loose skin to tighten. Here is a before and after. Please look at the other links as well if you have the time. Before: ![]() After: ![]() Others: Frontal 1 Frontal 2 Side 1 Side 2 Side 3 Traps Relaxed Traps Flexed I'll snag some pictures of my legs later tonight hopefully. Nothing special, but they are worlds better than they use to be. Last edited by Gill; 03-03-2008 at 02:40 PM. |

I get this! (Austin Powers)
Great job on the transformation Gill! Really nice job! Just remember that you get to take credit for it. You decided to change. You did the workouts and stuck to the diet! You made sacrifices and took control. All any of us here can do is help w/ some advice and support. YOU HAD TO DO THE WORK! As Bigger Guns has stated, now you get eat and grow. You can do it wisely and not pack on the fat! Enjoy the new diet and the gains that will surely come.

@Red5: That before picture was taken in Feburary '07. I did not start dieting and working out until June '07 so it is possible I was slightly bigger. The before pictures were taken yestermorning (Monday 3rd, March 08) Thanks for the confidence about not needing to lose more fat; however, I've never had a confident summer in my life and I would really like to dive head-first into beach weather with a low bf%. I'm going to try to cut back a bit more and get the last bit of lower belly and butt fat off. I'll probably start my first bulk cycle in late summer.
@Sarge: Thanks! Most of the names in this thread are partially responsible for it though! Without you guys, I would of turned skull crushers into a very literal exercise! @Ambient: Definitely! I'll sit down tonight and give a timeline and summary of how things went down for me. It was all about trial and error for me in the beginning, but since then it has all become a completely lifestyle change. One for the better, I must add. @Everybody: I don't see my parents much and they were curious as to how my fitness was coming along. I took those pictures and made a little slideshow for my Mom. She called me crying because she was so surprised at the change. As most of you noticed, I look like a different person in the face. So first she was crying out of happiness but then it quickly degenerated into crying because she thought I had an eating disorder or something, haha. You have to love mothers! It has been a real adventure, and I feel I've just begun. This is definitely a way of life and I will continue to keep my fitness and health at the forefront of my mind. A sincere thank you to everyone once again. If I ever catch any of you out at a bar - free calories on me! |
