Default 175 Pounds small update.

Hi guys just two pics. I do not have my dads camera any more as he got this new really expensive camera and he wont let me use it so im down to my crappy cell phone.

Here's where im at though. Right now I dont have much muscle definition but I have not been eating clean so im going to have to cut alot when I get to 180.

On a positive note I have strengthend my leg muscles and I would show a pic but the battery is dead on my phone so perhaps tomorrow ill put one on if anyone is interested.

I have also gained alot of strength in my shoulders and biceps. The pics are kinda blurry so it's really hard to see my progress sadly.

Anyways comments would be appreciated thanks!

Why bother "cutting" when you get to 180?

You should just eat, eat & eat some more & try and put a bit more size on your frame before you think about any cuttting.

Not being an ass but there's not a lot of muscle there to define - an extra 5 lbs isn't going to make that much difference either.

Kudos for posting the pics though.

dude, you have nothing to cut. just forget about cutting for now and put on some size before you even think about cutting. i will take your word for it but just judging by your pics i find it hard believe that you are 175.

Thanks for the imput i do appreciate it. But the scale says 175 at the gym and at home so im not sure if there is a better way to weigh yourself but that's what it says....maybe its water weight i dunno.

On a side note I love ronnie coleman but im not anywhere near his definition as far as muscle goes but I have alot of fat on me which I said before Ive been doing a dirty type bulk. I know eating clean would of been the obvious better solution but im lazy what can I say....I would just like a body that is decently built and I think im at the level where I can get that when I cut.

But if it's really that bad i guess i will continue to bulk and hopefully put some new muscle on even if it's not much.

Hey on a side not I can't get my biceps to grow. I keep hitting them hard and eating tons of roast beef, chicken etc but it's like the one muscle that just won't grow.

I figured it was related to diet....so ive been eating more and more healtheir foods and ALOT of it but it doesnt make a difference.

Ive basically only been using dumbells for bicep exercises and doing preacher curls etc but again nothing.

Any advice.

Forget the curls man, rows are the way to go.

-BB Rows
-Pullups
-T-Bar Row

Oh and squat.

Eat clean, sleep 7-9 hrs, lift hard/heavy. When you get to 200 lbs on that plan - cut.

Good luck.

Squats, Deadlifts, Benchpress & other compound movements are the way to go - your biceps will grow in proportion to the rest of your body & the rest of your body will get big with the big compound exercises.

Don't spend all your time on curls.

Erase the word cut from your dictionary until you are 210 pounds. You dont have any definition because you dont really have much muscle- not because you have a lot of fat (you dont.)

gotta say man, your biceps are pretty proportional to the rest of you body. You cant have big biceps if you dont have the whole deal.

Hey guys. I was just thinking. With my present schedule and working 45 hours a week would it be possible to just maintain my present weight and continue to add muscle instead of what fat I have on my body?

Is it possible to maintain your weight and still add muscle or do I have to bulk to build more muscle?

It's not hard at all to add more muscle while keeping the fat to a minimum.
I did it last year but it takes a lot longer & you have to be extremely strict with your diet - eat only healthy, nutritious food & lots of it!

Im not sure if this is a serious question. Do you mean would it be possible to burn fat while adding muscle, in the perfect ratio to keep your weight at 175? Itd be damn hard. Why are you so concerned with your weight?

Well suggest that I just continued to work out hard, and I kept my protein intake really high but did'nt eat enough calories to gain weight would I just be wasting my time in the gym?

That's what im trying to figure out. Would my body still grow muscle if I was'nt bulking but I still kept a high protein diet going.

I say this because truthfully I would be happy to have a body that is more built than the average guy...im not asking for veins popping out my arms and this ripped pure muscle look. Just something right now that is a descent body.

If and when Im ready to go to the next step ill continue to get bigger but right now it's been a constant battle to just gain weight along side my schedule that im just wanting to try tone what little muscle I do have.

I cant understand this question. Lets break it down
1. You have VERY little bodyfat
2. You want to add muscle to your frame
3. adding muscle adds weight
4. You dont want to add weight
5. You want to add muscle while not eating enough to gain weight

I dont think you even understand the basics of bodybuilding. You cant gain muscle without eating a caloric surplus, and you cant gain muscle without gaining weight.

I think the problem is that he’s in a big rush. He basically wants to know what he can do to gain as much muscle as possible in a somewhat fast manner because he doesn’t want a period where he looks like he has too much ‘fat’ on him. So it seems he isn’t asking to be perfect, but just as big as is possible for him in the shortest period of time. That being said, bodybuilding doesn’t work that way, so it’s not going to happen. Just after the first and then subsequent posts, this was the impression I was getting. Patience is a virtue, no?

Im just waiting for him to say he doesnt want to gain weight so i can break his balls about weight being a stupid number. Bro, you could put on 20 pounds and ride high at 195 and look real good. Thats a little far in the distance, but what im saying is- no matter what you are going to gain weight if you want to put on muscle. But as long as your putting on muscle and not tons of fat- gaining weight is a GOOD thing. stop worrying about the numbers and use the mirror as your guide.
