I just recently got into bodybuilding about 5 months ago. I don't have good "before" pic cause at the time I figured that I prob wouldn't stick with it anyway. I had to use one from vacation last year...lol.
Anyways, when I started out I weighed about 150lbs with some excess fat on my stomach. After 5 months, this is where I am at 170lbs. My question is why I still can't see my abs, I do crunches and leglifts 3x a week? I know you can't be accurate from a pic, but do you think this is a bodyfat issue? Also, what muscles look like they need to be concentrated on a little more? thanx ![]()

First off, I think we need more pics of your lady friend.
Do you deadlift/squat? Looks like you don't (no offence!) 'Total' exercises like this often help bring out your core. You don't seem to have much core muscle. But it's usually just a BF issue, if you cut down enough, you'll get abs. |

Great work on your transformation! Keep it up. Abs are made in the kitchen. A clean diet is necessary to reveal your abs. Weighted work will 'build' your abs.
As for critique, concentrate on the Big 3 exercises; Deads Squats Bench These lifts will give your routine a starting point. Stick to compound exercises. Upper Chest and Lat width needs improvement. No pics of your legs so I can not judge them. You have a great start so don't be discouraged.

no i dont do any squats...i prob should. i do deadlift though, i actually just started that here recently in the past month. as far as bodyfat...i've been eating as clean as possible, with no carbs after 7pm and running on my off days. i will try to get a better lat pic up in the next few days.
