allritteee

Flat BB Bench press

Warm ups
70kg x 11

80kg x 9
95kg x 8
100kg x 4

100kg (225lbs) x 4 is a PR I've managed to work my way from 80kg to 100kg for reps in 6 weeks. I'm pleased at this and I hope to consolidate this weight and add more reps over the next 2 weeks and then look at adding 5 more kgs.

Incline Machine press (free weights)

60kg x 7
65kg x 6
70kg x 4

Dips

+10kg x 7
x 6

DB Lateral raises

12kg x 9
15kg x 6

EZ bar Skull crushers

35kg x 5
My triceps were well worked by this point
30kg x 6

I'm gonna add some delt presses next week, I've left them out recently because my delts can feel a little tired after the pressing movements.

Back

This kinda sucked, when I turned up (half hour before closing) the main barbell room was closed. So deadlifts were a no go

BB Rows (I used a random EZ bar for this)

50kg x 9
60kg x 7
70kg x 6
x 5

Probably could of hit more reps but I shortened the rest periods because I was pressed for time

T-Bar rows

40kgs x 11
60kg x 7
70kg x 5
x 4

Lat pull downs

60kg x 7
70kg x 6

This lift was down because my biceps were really pre exhausted

Finished off with a set of pull ups

x 6

Then the gym was near closing so I left.

Chest day

This workout sucked, both bench stations were taken so I opted for dumbells.

20kg x 11 (warm up)

30kg x 9
32.5kg x 6
32.5kg x 6

I could only find one 35kg dumbell a result of people jumbling up the dumbell order. This workout also made me realise how bad I suck at dumbell presses. I havent done them for a while and as a result my bench has really progressed, but coming back to the DB's felt weird. Next week I'll hopefully be back on the bench.

Incline press

60kg x 8
70kg x 7
80kg x 5

Military press

my delts felt really awkward in this movement, one of the reasons is probably due to me bombing my front delts with the chest exercises.

60kg x 6

it didnt feel right carrying on

Side raises

12kg x 7
12kg x 9

slow reps etc etc, I dropped the weight from 15kg in order to add some slower negs

Dips

+ 15kg x 7
x 6
+ 10kg x 8

I'm disappointed, I really felt up for improving on my Bench PR last week (hoping for 5 reps on 100 kilos) but the limited amount of bench stations were taken and I wasn't prepared to wait around all day. I'm considering perhaps having another bench session on the weekend, or I might just leave it until next week.

It's not too bad most of the bruising has gone down squatting down with my own b/w is fine so hopefully I'll be back in full swing. I've got a lot of uni work to do though so training is taking a back seat. I should be back in the gym Tuesday though.

What kind of job do you expect to land with that degree?

Quite versatile really, jobs within the domain of social sciences, Media (journalism is something I've gotten into a lot) so I'll probably look at going down the journalist route which would be playing to my writing strengths. The first year of the course is pretty broad but next year I'll be able to do something that matches my interests more so.
The average salary for post grads in the UK is £21k which is pretty advertising.

Cool man - good luck. Sounds like you got your sh*t together.

I only asked, because I know some friends who got a psychology degree and can't get a decent job to save their life. But hey, they studied what they liked!

cheers dude, to be honest I dont have a clear vision of what I wanna do more of an outline. But nowadays without a degree it's hard to make the money I want to make (unless you are a shrewd business man) so it's something I gotta do. Plus the social life is fvcking quality!

Being too busy to train is annoying but being away from the gym has almost re-vitalised by outlook on it, and I feel raring to go again.
Hopefully tomorrow so time will free up so I can go and hit my back with some deadlifts.

Diet has been pretty much on point too.

Life is really stating to annoy me, today was the day I was hoping to resume my training, but I woke up this morning feeling rough. Joints aching, back sore and worst of all I've been sh!ting through the eye of a needle all day. I'm getting some Imodium soon so hopefully I'll be able to train tomorrow.

Last night was awful, I was sick several times, stomach was cramping up, shivering and couldnt sleep.
I'm feeling a fair bit better this afternoon but my stomach is still not great so my diet will be limited to 3-4 meals at the most today.
