You deserve them all bro.

16 days left for me, 17 to Haahlet.

Now the fun starts... Not extremely busy today for a change and it's very nice. I needed a few light days leading up to my show. Have been sleeping like a baby and feel very well rested and recovered. Just want to be moving at all times.

Still strong mentally. Relatively physically. I benched yesterday and felt plenty good. Obviously with slightly less glucose, the ATP doesn't sustain.

Business has been perfect over the last few months and I think I've tapped back into the demographic that had been hurt the most by the recession with 2 for 1 training specials and boot camp. Good thing is that when I get serious clients, it's viral and it just grows and grows. Right now, my local newsletter seems to be reaching 5000 people and I only send it to about 300. Every week I send it out, I get two people that say "So and so sent it to me" and then I find out that it was sent to them from someone from someone from someone I sent it to. I try to collect the names but as long as it's getting moved, I don't mind. But it's doing tons for business, and it's interesting to see how many people just like to read little fitness tidbits. The popularity of it is drawing interest from local sponsors, but here's the thing: I OWN it. It's MY name. That means I'm so particular about who advertises and it has to be something I believe in and stand behind.

But anyone that I've endorsed (my chiro, supp guy, and massage therapist) has received customers from it, so they know the value.

Anyway, should be a good year.

Of course, right now, my focus is much more narrow...

Armageddon is almost here...

i'm the over side of the coin... feel thrashed at work but as soon as i get to the gym i'm revitalised?! Weird...

i'm taking the night off tonight to relax, been training and doing double cardio since sunday so a night off and an early one in bed to recoup and reload.

I'll come cheer you guys on and cook for you all haha. Unless there's an ultra featherweight class. I'd probably max out at 160-170 at 2% bf lol (and that's after putting on 20lbs of mass b/w now and then if that's even possible in a year)

Referring to why I lift question posed a few pages back...
I lift cause I want to be healthy and exercising like this helps that.
I lift cause I like to toss logs in the summer.
I lift cause I like to choke guys in the winter.

That's me.
Show drawls are too skinny, my junk would fall out, I have huge balls (says my wife)

I lift so I can get some female action and be the next Bionic Redneck.

If I had some extra cash, I'd fly TX for that weekend but this economy sucks - so I'm there with ya in spirit dude...15 days ain't nothing, you've got this.

Scheduled an early day yesterday so I was able to get home, get everything ready for today, do my cardio and crash out by 8:30. Got more than 10 hours of sleep, which works out perfect, because I'll be able to do the same over the next 2 days, and rest is worth gold right now.

15 Days to go, so it is now the home stretch. Of course, calories are low and effort is high, but like I said yesterday, the 16 weeks of busting my @ss is now down to 15 days, and there's nothing I can't do for 15 days.

Time to just stay the course, stay positive and focused, as if I could be anything but at this point!

Funny thing is, a part of me likes the grind. A part of me is so sadomasichistic, that I don't want the torture to end. A part of me likes that I've been able to do what a lot of people simply cannot or won't subject themselves to. I have to admit that I'm hooked, and cannot wait to go through it again at even a higher level for my next show.

I've tried to keep this as updated as possible since I let it be known what I was doing. I hope that it has inspired at least one of you.

b

You certainly inspired me and I know a few others. I've won everyday for 2 weeks straight and it's b/c of you and Aaron especially. Thanks a lot and you'll kick ass at your show man.

I have to say, and it's easy for me to say I'm not putting myself through what you are, but this past 14 weeks has seem to go by really quickly. Goes to show that time isn't as daunting as it initially seems.

Today is like a new beginning. For 14 weeks I have been as perfect as humanly possible each and every day for the last 14 weeks. Now, I am at the last 14 days and the end is in sight. Of course, the last two weeks can redefine hell on earth with depletion and fatigue.

Right now, I am a few minutes in to my first of two one hour cardio sessions today. For the next ten days, there will be two per day. I dont think it is a MUST but I am leaving nothing to chance.

Today will be my last really intense leg workout, but I plan on doing a lighter day later this week as well and of course there will be light stuff in the depletion workouts.

Carbs will be low and cut off early this week.

I think about not even a bite of cheat food for the last 14 weeks and it is beyond that. What I consider cheat food is hardcore and my diet has been very strict and basic. No "fat free cheese here" to keep me sane. No ketchup. No whole grain cereal. Lol nothing. Once a food was removed, it wasnt readded.

And I know how hard it is for a lot of people to follow my much less strict guidelines for just a week. I am not done yet, and I dont want to just cruise.

After cardio, I will go through my posing routine a couple of times then hold the mandatories for a minute each a few times each.

45 minutes to go and Lemmy is blaring Ace of Spades.

"Lemmy?"
BZZZT!
"God?"
"Wrong! Trick question, Lemmy is God!"

Looking good, man. Inspiring stuff.

Check out this new protein drink recipe. Awesome. You could probably use any chocolate protein, but my gf actually duplicated this recipe with Lean Dessert and it was amazing with the consistency of a chocolate milk shake.
