I dont mean to clutter up your journal bro....
But for me lifting is not a hobby, it's part of my life... And when I train, it's balls out, I do not make excuses. BUT there are 2 aspects to training 1.) What you are putting on the bar 2.) What you putting into your belly And honestly, I think #2 is about 70% of the success ratio. If you want to see serious changes, first make changes in the kitchen. So am I any less dedicated than the next guy? If you came and lifted with me for a day, you wouldnt even utter the thought, but if you ate with me you would say yes. So with my own opinion that the game is 70% diet, I guess I am a fool to spin my wheels with 100% of my motivation to training and very little to the kitchen. My problems * Skipping breakfast when on the run * Sugary drinks * Meal timing Last edited by BiggerGuns=LongerDrives; 11-04-2009 at 11:45 AM. |

Guys, I'm in no way insinuating that training in itself doesn't take discipline, because it does. Moving heavy objects isn't easy, whether you're doing sh!t right or optimal or whatever. But a lot of you guys have been around here with me since like 2003. Seriously, you fkrs are stronger than that and I know that you could take over the mental part (nutrition).
Of course, if any of you homos are driving through SA, you know you gots a place to stay. I even let Merk crash twice. Hank basically lives with me.

And here I sit and watch this tidal wave of people around me, both on the net and in real life, who have made vast changes to their physiques by leaning out and dropping BF. Just here at BB4U, I can name a few.... Aaron (TKG) Boyd (TheHorseman) Mitchcumstein BigNate I know I can do it too. I have to find a way to harness the same energy and motivation that I put into lifting and put it into my diet. I just need to tackle the diet and kill the beast once and for all, cut his fvcking head off and hold it high for all to see that I killed the beast, that I conquered him... LOL apparently it's easier said than done . Last edited by BiggerGuns=LongerDrives; 11-04-2009 at 12:23 PM. |

I'm assuming by saying Harlet, you mean TKG?
I always forget about repping! I need to do that more often. Many of you deserve rep from me from your support and a$$ kicking. Let the repping begin!

I dont have major goals, but I still have goals. My goals are very simplistic....get big, get strong, dont have a gut...thats it . Last edited by BiggerGuns=LongerDrives; 11-04-2009 at 01:22 PM. |

It's a mental game. It's just you against you. Of course it's easier said than done; I have been leaning out for over a year and still have not reached my ultimate goal. A thing that helped me a lot was by setting small goals (like losing 10lbs) and WRITING them out on paper. I weigh in each week and try to aim for 2lbs a week. As you reach each goal, set another goal and they will add up.

I am sitting at 225 right now, but I will watch a UFC event with a 205'r or actually a solid 185'r and think to myself that if I could just melt the 20 to 30 lbs of pure fat off my body, perhaps I'd look like those guys... I have to rely on the pump of a workout to be able to expose anything of what I have, the rest of the time I look rather soft May 15th, 2011? |

I can't rep any of you mutha flockers - I need more friends on this site than the same 6 guys. LOL.
Boyd - thanks. I'll see you in 2 weeks bro. Sad to say, I don't look much different than when out there in March, while you are a different person. Maybe that will help kick in the motivator? I'm a few pounds lighter, but not 40+ like you. Same challenge happened tonight while driving home. I had been at work for 12 hrs, wife called said to pick something up to eat cause she wasn't cooking cause it was so late. I'm looking around and all I see is McD's, BK, Taco Bell, KFC, etc. I thought of this thread and drove home, made a big ass salad. Thanks. /clutter |
