Man, we're going to be punching the sh!t out of a lot of people. Most of the people here don't EVER discuss training. I'd be willing to bet the reason is because they DO NOT TRAIN! lol

On your other post - is your grip seriously holding you back that much? Not saying that it's terrible, because no matter how you look at it, 500 is a lot of weight to be in the hands, so there's no shame there.

If I can remember my login at MW, I'll take a gander.

yes, grip on right hand is horrible, ever since I broke my thumb (base of it) on that hand, the grip has always sucked.

Stuff like that s*cks. When my job was programming and I was on the comp all day long, my grip suffered quite a bit from that, and training it was absolutely miserable. Now, it isn't bad at all but I have small hands.

my gym actually has a machine for working your grip/forearm. I can't do it early in a workout because the major muscles would suffer, can't hardly do it at the end because I'm exhausted. I need it's own day to focus on !

Throw in an auxillary day where you just hammer all of your weaknesses. It's tough, because you use your grip for everything, but I'd probably put it before chest day since that day is probably least impacted by your grip. I don't think you take too many rest days, so it's not really an option to fill one of those

Got on the scale this morning and was a lean 246. My weight goes up so slow at this point, but I'm definitely lean, especially first thing in the morning.

For this week (and POSSIBLY next week), I'm lifting full body everyday, but I do cycle which muscles I prioritize.

Day 1: Full body, start with heavy legs and prioritize them.

Day 2: Rest

Day 3: Full Body, start with heavy chest

Day 4: Rest

Day 5: Full body, start with heavy back

Day 6: Rest

Day 7: start over

I nailed a 495 bench 3 or 4 weeks ago. While I'm not a bench nut, as it stands it is my favorite lift (until I hit the 1/4 ton mark).

I'll post more later.

Good luck with that Boyd - the 1/4 ton. You ain't far off and I'm sure you'll hit it soon.

Lean 246.....LOL. I've been 246 - but it damn sure wasn't lean!

Maybe leaning on the bar, drinking beer and eating wings. LOL.

I hear ya. Thing is you're light years ahead in the game. I've only been back in the gym 13 months, after allowing everything to go to **** for years, actually the better part of 13 of the last 15 years. My fault - no one else's - just don't let it happen to you!
