No, you are not eating great if 50% of your protein is coming from a shake. Go eat 180grm of Protein FOOD... chicken, steak, fish, goat, whale, shark, rooster, anything! And if you are trying to gain some muscle.. 150 gms of carbs won't get you nothing... try to get that into the 300+ range. If you want to get big, go eat some food! Don't be scared to order that triple cheeseburger, you need some calories!

Horse meat is actually very good too.

Seriously - lay off of the shakes - your body needs real food. Shakes are for when you can't get real food or as a supplement, not a staple.

If you are properly pushing yourself in the gym, your body should demand more nutrients than you usually need hence, you are become more hungry.

What are some causes of not being hungry? I ask because I usually find this is a common complaint for people who are trying to put on mass but doesn't make much sense if you are working out properly.

You could just make the basic arguement that if you don't feel hungry, then you must not need any nutrients, but, we know there are other things that cause us to not be hungry. If you could figure out these other things, than you can solve the root of the problem instead of working around the problem.

My limited knowledge of hunger killers:

You ARE getting enough nutrients
Not expending enough energy (i.e. not working out hard enough)
Inefficient/ineffective digestion causing backup/full feelings
Stress/depression
Smoking cigs/alcohol withdrawl
Various infections/viruses
Certain prescription drugs

Add to list if you know more, but these are items that should be looked at and addressed if you find yourself not being able to eat.

its as simple as not training hard enough,if your putting the effort in then you will notice the difference for sure, but you also need to put the effort in the kitchen.

-Eating too much fat is a huge reason.
-Eating too much food in one sitting - it takes acclimation.
-Just being a pu$$.

Another reason I like cardio - it improves the digestive system and increases appetite (hence why I think it's a good idea even during mass gaining cycles).
