Trust me, I was lazy and weak minded my last 2 years of college and all it did was make me 30lbs heavier after working so hard to get my ass in shape. That being said, easy to make recipes is a good idea still

It's simple no matter where you are if you want to do it. But don't clutter my thread and start that that argument or I'll hunt you down. I think that's going to be a nice part of my site - how to make quick, easy, tasty meals that can be carried on the run and eaten with little prep... I seriously intend to show everything you have to do, from the training, resting, eating, food prep, everything. I want to have at least 20 vids ready before I launch and add 6-10 per week. Nobody will ever have another excuse. Under each vid, I'll have a place for questions and answers as well.

For myself, I have the iron game down as a veteran. I'm not trying to sound as if I know everything there is to know about lifting, as I am always open minded with my training, but it's the diet that I'd be interested in.
I have never been able to put the level of commitment in the kitchen as I do in the gym and I think most of that has come from a lack of "know how"...People eat bad food because it's "easy". I think if you were to hang with me for a week attached to my side, you'd solve all my issues and I'd make major progress..."DONT FVCKEN EAT THAT RUBIO"! ... or ... "WTF, IT'S PASS 3PM WHY THE FVCK ARE YOU CONSUMING CARBS"??? Or if it's a Fri or Sat night - "DRINK ANOTHER BEER B!TCH" !! But with all seriousness, I myself would sap you dry for diet information, not just generic stuff, but more so how do I apply it to my lifestyle and cater it to my specific schedule . To tell the truth, everything I could ask you would take up too much room. Diet seems to be the prevailing idea of this thread so I'd really like to be different here and ask for a summary of a weight lifting/training program for different goals. To elaborate, a section maybe saying "This is a generic program for the average novice joe trying to get into shape" and then one saying "This is a generic program for the harcore, metal biting horseman son of a ***** wanting to push as much iron as possible (or something to that general effect."
Also, something maybe summarizing how you would categorize a person's fitness level/ training level (newbie/novice/intermediate/advanced/etc.). I'm really just casting out ideas as they pop into my head so I realize some of this might be a tad unrealistic but you asked

Not unrealistic at all. I love all the ideas. You see, I am so close to this stuff every day that it is hard for me to think like someone that doesnt make a living doing it.
If u can fathom it, suggest it and I may do it.

Going in, I thought diet - showing meals, simply discussing it, ordering in a restaurant, etc would be where people are lost.
I think if we film some of our workouts, and I have some females I'll train as well, people will think "Man, I like that" or whatever and try some new stuff. But I think diet is where it is.

You should DEFINIETLY address female's and weight lifting. Every f'ing day I have to convince girls that they won't get huge by lifting weights. I'd love to just send them a link with articles and advice and even Pictures of women you've trained to show that they will just end up lean and sexy as fvck

I agree with most of the replies here... I'd def be interested in diet ideas
specifically diet plans for bulking and cutting... best ways to bulk without adding too much fat... best ways to cut without losing too much muscle or how to gain lean mass while burning fat at the same time quick easy good recipes would be nice... because lord knows I get so sick of boneless skinless chicken breast, brown rice and fvcking canned tuna but it's just easy to be consistent... at the same time it makes me wanna hit the drive thru and get myself a big juicy double bacon cheeseburger Last edited by Meta; 08-21-2009 at 10:02 AM. |

not only would you want to discuss myths about lifting, but myths about diets as this is such a huge key in any program. This was mention before, but I think it can be broken out into a much more specific programs.. Bulking, Dieting, Maintaining, Prepping for a Show (xx weeks out).. and how to calculate Macro Nutrients.. and the big key.. finding what works for them. People don't understand there is no "cookie cutter" diet, it's all about making sure you know what works for you, and HOW to find what works for you.
Myths.. Why doesn't the Juice Diet work? Why doesn't the Weight Watchers diet work for me? Why doesn't drinking diet coke make me skinny like Wayne? You have a broad bit of knowledge that you could keep it focused per video. This would help people focus on the important information, without it all coming at them at once.

I definitely want to keep every video small, yet packed with good information. Not to necessarily keep people coming back, but I want every video to be as specific as possible and not so ambiguous with "well, you could do this or you could do that". I plan to make videos for every person in every situation. The body transformation guide I am writing, which is taking way too long lol is like this.
I have: You: fat Need: Maintain and/or gain muscle and lose fat. Goals How to achieve blah blah blah I started it to be like 1200 words, but now it's the size of an eBook. lol That's the way I've always been, I start something with the intention to keep it small and I'm like "Oh, and this, and I need to add that." I'm excited. We've taken about 20 vids and I think 10 of them are good enough. Training vids aren't easy, and I can't pin-point what I don't like about the ones we've made. Of course, talking and discussing nutrition is ultra simple for me. I don't know why everyone over-complicates it. YES, there is science, but I will say that overwhelmingly, the problem comes down to discipline. I am currently training about 25 people. I have asked every one of them over the last 2 week their exact opinions of my nutritional program and they all say that without a shadow of a doubt are they not only the most simple to follow and sustain, but they are most definitely the most beneficial. I think the former leads to the latter. Of course, I have some that are following my more advanced principles, but most people make insane progress following my bracketing, carb cut off and an occassional refeed or zero carb day. Again, I'm really excited to get this thing up and running... |
