A motorist was murdered in my neighborhood! ...Mafia style hit????
This is crazy!
I was off last Friday and was home with my kids. So decided to take them to the park. However, as we got in my truck and drove off, I quickly learned that my street and one end of my entire neighborhood was blocked off with yellow Police tape. I could see at least 6-8 cop cars, a few unmarked cars, alot of officers, a tent in the middle of the street and a few investigators doing CSI work. I had no idea what happened and I tried to get a quick look but the cops turned me around and I had to exit out the other end of my neighborhood. Well today I decided to look it up to see what happened and I came across a news article on the incident. Apparently some dude got whacked in his car by the passenger and then the killer got out and another car picked him up and they sped off......WTF? Motorist killed in Northridge, possibly by passenger Daily News 06/26/2009 NORTHRIDGE - A motorist was killed today in Northridge, possibly by a passenger in his vehicle, which crashed, authorities said. Paramedics sent to Frankfort Street about 10 a.m. pronounced the man dead at the scene, said Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner of the Media Relations office. His name was withheld until officials could notify family members. According to the preliminary investigation, the man was apparently driving when he was either shot or stabbed, resulting in the crash of the vehicle, Rayner said. A person was seen getting out of the car and getting into another vehicle, which then sped off, Rayner said.

It sounds more like a contract killing/murder for hire thing, or maybe a Mafia hit....
It certainly wasnt any ghetto drive-by And Northridge is far from the ghetto Demographics (As of the 2000 census) * 68,469 people * The racial makeup of the city. 62% White 25% Hispanic 15% Asian 5% African American 11% from other races and 5.41% from two or more races. Just to poke - 2009 data according to trulia for the zip code 91324 says there are just over 25K people there. Northridge probably has more than 1 zip code, as many cities do. But - still.......I'd bet that 35% includes some Rubio's.
 34.83% of the people in Northridge (zip 91324), CA, claim hispanic ethnicity (meaning 65.17% are non-hispanic).

Yeah, I know the area. We were just in Colton visiting family not that long ago. Most of her family lives there, Moreno Valley, and Big Bear. The rest are in Vegas or Oregon. She is the only one who has ventured off very far. There is a guy named Mark Rubio here in FL who is running for Senate.
