Booting off the disk will eliminate the HW portion of it - if it boots fine from the install disk, then you know it isn't hardware-related. If you still have issues with it when booting from the install disk, then you have hardware issues....RAM, CPU, HDD, MB.

Hahaha, that's how I felt for real...LOL
Now I got to put the hammer back in the garage.... Thanks all for the advice, I reinstalled XP again which suprisingly it worked! I lost all the old settings but it works.....I wonder why the heck did it go on a loop in the first place?
