Is it for a stag/bachelors party for your dad or the wedding itself? Either way, my biggest advice is don't get wasted. I did. A friend of mine got married last year.
At the stag, I was told that I met the father of the bride early on and I was being held up by a friend since I could barely stand on my own. The father of the bride jokingly asked if I was going to be okay. Then I replied "WHO THE F%CK IS THIS GUY?" to his face. Luckily, I was told he laughed at me and knew I didn't mean it and it was the whiskey talking. Before the stag, we discussed possibly getting our friend into a nice strip club for some fun on his last night after the party were told to keep quiet about it since his parents, specifically his mother isn't keen on the idea. After the party we went to his parents house to drop his little brother off, as everyone was wasted and we decided not to take him to the rippers. I apparently went to the mother of my friend getting married, and asked her "HEY CLAUDIA, ARE WE STILL GOING TO THE RIPPERS AFTER?? IT'S HIS RITE OF PASSAGE, WE GOTTA GO!" As I was driven back home, I yacked in the back seat of his brand new SUV. His other sober designated-driving brother ended up cleaning it, luckily it was a leather interior. Days later and 40 air fresheners later, it still smelt terrible, he looked in the "pocket" behind the driver seat, and discovered he missed a spot lol. To this day, I still get hosed about it lol. Moral of the story, don't embarrass yourself and your family like I did. Attending the wedding after the stag was the most awkward event ever. It was met with humour and they poked jokes at me all night. It was in good fun and I had it coming Last edited by ambientdeath; 03-19-2008 at 05:44 PM. |
