Default The Bourne films (Bourne Identity, Supremacy & Ultimatum)

Anyone like these Flicks?

I must say as a movie fan, I am dissapointed in myself.
I never took Matt Damon to be a action star, so when the first one came out "The Bourne Identity" (2002) I never watched it, never gave it the time of day and the same went for "The Bourne Supremacy" (2004)

So now fast forward to 2007. Out of interest, I rented the most recent installment "The Bourne Ulitmatum" (2007) and to my suprise, I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
It was a bad as$ action flick and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!
Matt Damon played the role to perfection.

So I went out and and bought the series of #1, 2 & 3 and thats how I spent my Sunday...Awesome movies, suspenseful and filled with action, very cool.

Interesting note: These movies are adaptations of the famous Novels and I know there are 2 recent ones "The Bourne Legacy" (2004) and "The Bourne Betrayal" (2007).
So looks like we may have more films in the works????

I've read the books and seen the movies. Honestly, I really enjoyed the movies. There were a few things they changed but nothing so major as to really upset me.

As for future films... Matt Damon has stated on several occasions that he retired Bourne with the last film. He said the character was exhausting mentally. I feel like it won't be the last time we see Bourne on the big screen. Done properly, the franchise could open into the next generation Bond. Personally, I'd like to see a lot of the information about Bourne's pre-blackop days consolidated into a prequel of sorts.

Anyways, great stories.

Too bad you needed to know information/characters from the 2nd one to understand fully the 3rd one. Glad you like it as much as you did excluding the extra bit of information.

IMO, the first one was the best. The fight scene in the bank thing was awesome. The 3rd one with the fight scene in the lil buildings with that 'asset' was cool too.

Good films.

Well I watched all 3 yesterday, starting with 1 and I have to agree, the Bourne Identity is the best film. But #3 (The Bourne Ultimatum) was the most thrilling action packed ride of them all though

I was the same. I just recently saw the last movie, which made me see the others. I like the scene where he kicks that dudes ass with a book.

sucked... ain't no Rambo!! When I want to see people die, I watch Rambo. When I want to learn how to plan, attack, and rescue my fellow workers from the cubes of hell workplace... I watch Rambo. Nothing like seeing some computer nerds go up against a 50 cal. machine gun mounted in the back of my Suzuki.

Yo Carnal, the Bourne films kick ass, True! Matt Damon pulls off the character really good. The first film for sure is the best but the other two are good as well.

The last Bourne movie was my favourite of the three and i significantly enjoyed it better than the other two. I only read the first book---i was confused when i saw the movie. I kept waiting for Carlos to come out!!!

All of you Bourne fans have probably already heard the rumors of a 4th film in the works. IGN had an article up of Damon and Greengrass denying a movie being in the works; however, unlike the past, they are no longer saying they are against a 4th film.

Damon stated after the 2nd film that he would be done with the character after the 3rd and every consecutive interview about a 4th film has been quickly shot down. This is exciting to think the two might work together to keep the series going.

I was kind of upset that they were making Matt Damon an action star before I saw the first movie. I didn't think he could pull it off and I didn't really like the guy. But then I saw the first Bourne movie and I was hooked. He does an awesome job in all of them.

If you guys enjoyed the third movie, then you will def. enjoy this:
