I am gettin so disheartened lately. I am injury prone. About 3 months ago I injured my shoulder/neck whilst performing a shoulder press on a dodgy machine which has since been replaced. I was out of action for 2 months. It nearly killed me to stay away from the gym but the doctor warned me to rest it.
So Last month I get the al clear and train for a month solid. I got great gains in just 3 weeks. Regaining old muscle I suppose. Last saturday night I said I'd treat myself to a night out on the town with the lads. I must say I was lookin class, bulging out of a new tshirt which I bought specially. I was standing at the ATM when some dirty **** head stuck a knife straight into my back. I'm out now for at least another month. I'm a lucky ****er It just hit into my spine and went no further but out for another month. I want a good straight run at this bodybuilding and see how far I can push myself but **** like this really gets me depressed. |

Dayum...that really sucks. As much as it's a bit depressing to be out of the gym while you heal up. Try not to get too depressed. Lifting is a life-long endeavor. I've been at it since my teens and I'm 46. I had to take 4 years off and it was tough. But I came back pretty well in spite of some nerve damage I had suffered during my time off. I'm actually in a better place now physically than I was prior to all my surgeries and down time in my late 30's.
You'll return in no time at all...and you'll be back on top of things before you know it.
