Lmao, exploding eggs

So I woke up around noon today, and first thing started fixing some food. Waffles at first, and some hard boiled eggs for about 20 minutes from then.

Well, after eating, I got on my computer to take care of a few things, and time got away from me. All of a sudden while doing some work I hear this POP like a firecracker. I'm about to run outside to see what exploded, and passing through the kitchen I see all the water boiled off, and one of the eggs exploded from the heat. Shell and yoke EVERYWHERE. I still haven't located most the egg, but I cleaned all the yoke and shell off the walls lol.

So yea, thats my stupid moment for the day.

Welcome to the frat... I've had it happen more than once. But I figured out a way to avoid that when boiling eggs (aside from stop boiling them).

Nah dude, I have the worst adhd/add in the world.

I boil the water first. When it hits a boil, I turn it off, put the eggs in and cover it. They'll boil perfectly and the water will cool before they bust. Rarely, one will crack, but for the most part, it's not a mess if it does.

Edit: This way you don't have to pay attention to sh!t.

i did the dumbest thing by trying to microwave an undercooked hard boiled egg- that sucker exploded like a cherry bomb lol. I remember my aunt walking by the microwave when it happened and she nearly fell down.

I set the microwave for 30 seconds and it exploded about 10-15 seconds within. caked on egg everywhere in the microwave. I dare someone to try it if they don't believe me.

The cherry bomb part is exaggerated but you get the point

Then again, I don't do hard-boiled eggs that often, so I bet I could come up with a few funny stories myself...lol
