Can someone talk some sense into these fools? I am not a steroid user myself, but saying that steroids caused a man to murder his wife and son is absolutely ridiculous. These guys(wrestlers) abuse Steroids in the worst way. Im all for responsible use but its hard for me to stick up for AAS in this situation cause it probably did play some role.

Sick and tired of steroids assumptions and overreactions. But I don't think all media believes that so much as they report it. The anchors are just saying what's handedd to them and the news stations just pump out what brings in ratings and what gets people talking like we're doing right now.

Its well known that steroids can cause depression. Its not a stretch to make a connection that he killed his family and hung himself. According to most recent news articles he did infact strangle his wife, smother his son and hang himself in the gym.

I think its way to easy to blame steroid. Sure it could have played a role. But my guess is that steroid or not it would have come to the same conclusion anyway. To do something like this you must have serious mental issue. Depression is a b*tch and is vicious circle. If you don't get help you spiral down into crazy though that makes no sense except to you. In his warped up mind, I'm pretty sure he came to the conclusion that it was for the best of all.
It’s really tragic and I feel for all his family and friend.

steroids may of played a role.. but Id say a very small roll... Crazy jealous basterd are Crazy jealous basterds right from day one.
Don't forget in 2003 she filed for a divorce, and had tried to get a restraining order from benoit... siting reasons of violence, and threatening death... Well It seems quite clear, that Benoit simply showed her and made her believe that if she left him, he would indeed kill her and possibly her son... so she gave u-p on the divorce and the restraining order, adn probably lived like a prisoner in fear of benoit... SO 3.5 years later since, who know's what happened.. maybe she was having an affair with another wrestler (she did manage other wrestlers).. maybe she was going to attempt another devorce or she told him right then and there that it was finally over, and benoit saw the conviction in her voice and in her face... Then Benoit like, jealous controlling manipulitive abuser's blew the **** up.. and his strength probably didn't help him when he grabbed her around the neck... Could steroids of played a part? Sure maybe... but remember the depression of steroids is only in effect when you off of them, and I sincerely doubt that guys like benoit go off of them.. so if that's so.. you can shoot that depression theory out the window.... that leaves perhaps, a hightened anger reaction on a person that is already likely to blowup... and that is where some blame can be placed.. But in reality... Benoit is ****ing arsehole freak. Should of been in jail a long time ago, and probably threatened or abused any woman he's every been with.
