Default best movie character ever!!

who is the greatest character played by an actor? theres always one in those great films who just makes the movie what it is.

ben kingsley as don logan in sexy beast was one of my favorites.
robert di niro as travis in taxi driver was mesmerising.
he was good in the deer hunter too!!!!!!!!

Default gross but true

christian bale in the machinist. i was shocked by the weight loss he had to go thru, and you can tell it affected him by the way he acted, such a hectic movie. the opening scene with him in the bathroom sets the stage for a dark movie!

The easy one, Scarface... That character was just amazing in every aspect.

Others:

Johnny Depp in Blow
The guy who played Anakin/Darth Vader in SW Episode 3
Robert Dinero in Casino

Either Russel Crowe as Maximus (I watched that 3 times yesterday) or Juaquin Phoenix in Walk The Line. I actually forgot he wasn't Johnny Cash...

I firmly believe that Val Kilmer sold his soul for the role of Val Kilmer.
