Default bottled water left in car...

I got this in an email. Anyone else?

Do not drink bottled water left in the car. Doc said that the heat and plastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer.

Please don't drink any bottled water that has been left in the car.

Please pass on to all females.

I know, what doesnt cause cancer? I get scared when I read this stuff.
I drink water left in the car all the time!

Hmmm, I wonder why it tastes bad.

Usually water in a glass thats been sitting around for days tastes funny cause it gets dust and airborne particles in it. Bottled water however has a cap on it so maybe something from the plastic is leaking into it.

I get these kinds of emails from my grandparents all the time. They are spam, if it makes you feel better ask your doctor. Plastic is treated nowadays.

This is the real reason you shouldn't leave bottled water in the car:

Part 1

Part 2

Quote:
Water bottles spark car fire warning
Apr 19, 2007
Motorists are being warned about the risk of water bottles left in drink holders starting fires in cars.

There have been around a dozen incidents where water bottles in drink holders have acted as a magnifying glass and car seats have been scorched and damaged.

Car owner Mark Gillings says he took his car on a fishing trip, returned to the car in the afternoon and found a hole burnt in the seat.

"The potential here for fire or for someone to be injured is great I think," Gillings told Fair Go . "Too right, something should be done about it."

The theory is the bottles curved shape acts like a magnifying glass, focussing the sun on the seat. It takes about a minute for it to start smouldering and Gillings argues by then a newspaper could have caught fire.

The Motor Industry Association has known about the problem for a year, but says it would be too expensive to put warning labels on all drink holders.

Despite the MIA's view, both the Fire Service and Chrysler say the car industry has an obligation to educate motorists.

For its part, Coca Cola is changing the shape of its Pump water bottles.

Taste bad cause water can go bad. The chlorine and other chems and minerals in the water will leech out of the water into the air so it tastes flat..
Anyone who has tasted desalinized water knows the taste...no minerals gives it a flat taste..that is the taste of water...

Yeah, but its dark in there. i think it has someting to do with the sunlight/uv rays hitting the plastic.
