I'd definitely recommend a deo + anti-perspirant. Deodorant will eliminate odors, but won't stop you from sweating. |

There's a prescription strength anti-perspirant available at Wal Mart, called Certain Dri. You WILL NOT sweat in your pits with this stuff. Before you try that though, you may think about changing brands...I know that after a few months I have to switch up because what used to work fine suddenly quits working for whatever reason. I went through several iterations of switching around before I finally stopped on the Certain Dri, as everything I was trying wasn't working.

i use anti-perspirant but out of nowhere i guess it stopped working, then i switched brands and nothing works now, invisible solid is what i always used because the clear gel or whatever its called always made me sweat more.
joemomma, on certain dri i hear you have to use it at night, how does that work? in the morning do you use regular deodorant or you use nothing but the certain dri? |

I have the same problem. I don't sweat alot when working out (except for squats and deads), but when I get anxious, I sweat alot, sometimes for no reason too. It seems to be worse now that I've gained a little weight (heaviest I've been in 10 years). I tried that certain dry and it didn't seem to work very well. I checked the ingredients and it has the same stuff in it as my right guard sport-no wonder. I remember trying some prescription stuff when I was in middle school (yeah I sweated back then too), I think it was my moms. That stuff burned pretty bad when you put it on at night (if you could'nt get to sleep right away), but it totally stopped any sweating in the pits. I wonder if I should go to the doctor to get something? It would sound kind of stupid though when they ask you whats wrong and you say you sweat too much...

When I was a teenager I used DrySol, which I got a script for from my physician. It works perfectly. Before I was wearing two teeshirts just so I didn't sweat through them both. Thank god that didn't last long.

Certain Dri does recommend putting it on at night...what I did was put it on the first night, then again in the morning. After that, I just hit it in the morning after my shower. No troubles...as for the ingredients, yes they are the same but look at the concentrations on them - big difference there.

ultra dry degree for men cool rush a&d. doesnt stop my sweating, but it smells like cologne! i always get told my cologne smells good but its only my deodorant.
kinda off topic.... but since we all sweat in our pits, how do you guys get rid of the sweat stains on your shirt? i have a few shirts where the deodorant and sweat stains is like caked on my sleeve, no matter how many times i wash it it never comes off. |
