Does it have to be a debate platform or can you discuss any single non-debatable topic?

If you could talk about any topic, i'd talk about Iwo Jima Island. If your a little into history there is so much stuff to talk n learn about and interesting and important stuff too...

Gun control (if a needed debate discussion) would be a good idea.

You could do the run of the mill debate topics, like capital punishment, gun control or abortion. Or you could do something more interesting. hell you could do it on steroids.

Yes, we had a awesome debate in college on Gun Control.
It was a group debate, but I held the platform on our side and we tiped the scales in our favor....such a memorable experience debatting was.

That's funny you said that Big. I too had a similar and interesting/great topic on Gun Control in a class I had last semester.

I'd recommend the Iwo Jima is permitted, but Gun Control would be next in line. Be thankful you can choose your topics sort of. In college, your given a dull and BORING lame as$ topic that you have no interest in doing. Hard to write and study on something you have a -25 on the passion scale lol.

True, but its impossible to learn how to objectively debate in an effective manner on a subject you have any kind of bias towards. Its an invaluable skill, one im glad that i learned.

gr 10 are 15-16...they can handle talks about rape, murder etc

capital punishment always seems to be good for debating as well as gun control
