Default Final Decision
Well, after a couple months of researching new TV's, I finally came down to one and I ordered it. It should be delivered to my house this Thursday or Friday...I am so excited!

Its a Samsung 50" DLP TV. The model is HL-T5089S. Its the new LED based DLP. The latest and greatest for now at least.

A good friend of mine who installs DISH Network is coming out this coming weekend to upgrade my current dish so I can get the HD Dish and DVR Receiver.

I already have my DVD Player and speaker system ready to be hooked up.

that is one sweet t.v. i have a 42" LG LCD. with sony surround. it's great to listent Metallica at 1000 watts.

Good luck with the TV.. I need a electronic guru to hook a girl up soon. I will be shopping for new tube soon too! All for pure entertainment of a 4 year old. I don't get to watch much TV...

I will have more questions for you later, as I look to go to the LED DLP myself. I want something over 57", and they are just starting to show up.

Go Blu Ray!! You will be drewling at the TV due to the gorgeous picture.

Just wait till the year 2009 when everything will go HD and all the prices will drop......but then again it was supposed to be 2006 when everything went HD. Hopefully they are right this time with 2009.

Nice TV.

I'm equip with a Sanyo Projector at 98" and a Rotel surround sound.
Movie nights are pretty sweet. Just need to finish that damm home theater room. Everything has been installed for a while now. Just finishing stuff left but I'm too lazy to finish it. I also want to change my projector it's about 2-3 years old now... The picture is still very good but I want more.. more.. more I tell ya. Muhahahaha.

I had the money right now so I waited until these new LED models came out. I also bought the extended in-home warranty. You just never know. The warranty states that if they cant fix it in the home, the company sends you a new tv..

Samsung is making some nice stuff now- my father in law has two Sammy plasmas, and they are tight. Prices are coming way down too - almost so that a regular joe like myself can afford one.
