I try not to hang around people that smoke. Bad bad. It's been just over 3 months..lol This time I was only smoking after my workouts...silly me.. I did notice my running was getting shorter so I knew it was time to butt out. Yeah I like to take the frustrations out on the weights too... |

John smokes and sometimes he has one right before he gets to the gym. I catch it right away, the other one, well I think he is smokin' some of the good stuff. He is always offering me a bone! I haven't had a good one of those in ages

To fitme and CC - Cold turkey is the best way to quit, more power to you for doing it that way. I used to be a smoker just like you CC (socially) but after discovering exactly what's in cigarettes (arsenic & carbon monoxide just to name a few), I decided to not be cool and social anymore What a waste of beauty...just like fitme, I started realizing the toll it was taking on my physical performance. Smart people don't smoke anyways

The best way to stop smoking is to never start in the first place...
A. To be a smoker is too costly. The price of cigs just seem to increase on a slow but frequent basis. B. Ruins your teeth and especially breathe. I cannot kiss someone who smokes. C. Theres a smoking ban in Ohio now so if you want to smoke in the winter time, you gotta go outside and smoke which means suffering in the cold. D. I don't even have to get into the health issues involved. Anyway, good post danny I thought it was entertaining.

Dboy, Have some cuban love babes...
I could go for one after a good, you know, lol. But seriously its not very attractive on a woman. Then again, 2nd hand smoke sucks too! You will never catch me with a cigarette again. But I can smoke any of you cats.. I am out!

I quit smoking 120 days ago! I have soooo much money now...I love it...well not sooo much money, but $3 a day...haha. ciggies are expensive. I also have way more cardiovascular endurance and my resting heart rate is normal now...it used to be super fast.
I still want one sometimes, but I fight the urge! I quit because I was embarrassed and even hid it from my coworkers. The main reason is that I do not want my kids to be grow up and smoke, so I have to set a good example. I also don't want to grow old and be a wrinkly leather face like older women I know who smoke. I would be kicking myself in the head if I was a smoker in NY Quote:
anyways, let's not get off-track! On a more respectful note, smoking is not attractive on anyone. Second hand smoke is so much worse too. The toll it takes on the passive smoker are so much worse than the one actually smoking cause you're getting all the unfiltered smoke I can't believe all the crap that's in cigarettes though...over 4,000 harmful substances. It's amazing how they can pack so many things into a what - a 40-44 millimeter stick [of cancer]? Too bad they can't pack healthy ingredients into tiny pills...that would be great wouldn't it?Oh and CC, calm down, you might hurt yourself =]

Its not like i was at a point either where i was fed up of smelling all the time or worried about my health, i just didnt feel like doing it anymore. Kinda like when you get bored with something. Its almost like it was never even a habit even though i was going thru at least a pack a day.
