Default I think my printer is possessed...

Ok so I went to print something and when I turned on my printer, the cartidges like slammed against the side. And I do mean slammed. The printer moved about an inch when it happened. The last time I printed anything was before I did a recent SP2 update (yeah it took me forever to update..lol). Anyone think the update could be the problem? Any idea how to fix it? Or is it broken and i should just buy a new one?

did you powercycle the printer? you might also look at updating the drivers.

I'll have to look into updating the drivers.

Yeah I wanted all the bugs fixed too. I've updated stuff before as soon as the updates came out and I'd have nothing but problems and patches and all that other BS...

Well, updating the driver didn't work. It's still slamming back and forth in there. Just my luck. Any other ideas besides tossing it through a window? lol

They are so cheap it is almost worth it to just buy a new one.
This sounds bad but I don't even buy printer cartridges anymore, I just but a new printer...it is cheaper..the old one I just give to Goodwill...

Did you try the troubleshooting guide online from the printer manufacturer? Most of them are pretty dang good.

This is true. lol But I like my Lexmark. I've only had it for like 5 years. haha But at the same time, Walmart has printers for like 20 dollars now soooo...

I'm thumbing through it now. So far I can't find anything remotely close to my particular problem.

make sure before you get a new one that you look at toner/ink prices... the printer might be a cheap one.. but the ink will drain yah of $$$... I have a lexmark 3in1 which has served me well...

That's why I refill the cartridges myself. haha Or I buy the generic ones for 15-20 a piece. I don't understand why brand name ink has to be like 40 dollars a pop. It's insane.

I've been looking at the Lexmark 3 in 1's. I'd like to get one but may just buy a regular inkjet for now.
