Default going to chi town

So the big day for my son....he's graduating bootcamp Friday morning. Im so proud of him. My sister and I are going to meet in Chicago.

Im flying out thurs..super early.. I gotta sit in in laguardia for a couple hours tomorrow. And coming back on saturday I have three hours in Dallas.

Anything close to either of these airports to kill some time?

How long would it take to grab a cab and take a ride thru NY city? and would it be really expensive?

I guess JD will be your best bet for an answer. I have only traveled out of LAG twice before and it doesn't look like there is much going on out there.

Cab in NYC, well I believe going just 2 blocks would cost you an arm. Sorry I can't help out, but I am Jersey Girl... you should've flown into EWR in NJ and there is a big outlet center about 15 minutes. You could put your dollar to better use than cabby service.

Have fun!!!!

A cab from Laguardia into Manhattan will cost you flat rate ~$50 + bridge/tunnel tolls. And that's just to get into the city. It would cost another $50 to get back to the airport.

Hahah, I'm used to the weather being 20 or lower. It was 46 this morning and I left the house without a jacket.

He called today!!! He sound so much more mature than he did 8 weeks ago!!!
He said the best part was the food (he's a culinary specialist) and the worst part was having to make his rack. LOL
