Default I don't deserve to live...

I got another speeding ticket!!! This makes 2 in three months. I feel so horrible. This time the guy put on his siren too. It was so embarrassing. I tried to be sweet and all that, thinking I might get a warning. I know my husband would have gotten a warning, but not me...grrrr. This sucks! My husband is going to be so irritated with me.

Ouch.. How fast do you drive? I go about 75 - 80 with traffic though, so there is no stopping everyone on the NJ pkway.

Good luck, if you lived in NJ, I ask my uncle to hook u up.. he is State police.
always a good hookup.

I'm sorry...but I'm picturing the cop following you with his siren on, and I can't help but laugh.
But, speeding tickets stink. Sorry Hanna.
I think it's very embarrassing being pulled over too. And very rarely do I get let off with a warning. I'm usually too much of a smarty pants.

LOL...one time though, the cop pulled me over, and I had a warrant for an unpaid 'open alcohol' ticket that I had gotten years before, (but I said that I wasn't paying the ticket cause I didn't have any open alcohol in my hand)...so anyway, when I got pulled over, I was so scared that I was gonna go to jail, that I couldn't stop cursing.
I told the cop that he scared the Sh!t out of me. Then I went to apologize and I said, Oh sh!t, I'm really fukkin sorry. Then, I said...Oh sh!t, I did it again. I can't stop fukkin cursing. He didn't say a word, and just gave me back my license and told me to get on my way.

I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hijack your ticket thread, but it just popped in my head.

that's funny jenn.

I was just thinking that maybe I was going faster than that and he let me off with 69 in a 55, cause in NC if you got 15+ a speed limit greater than 55 they suspend your driving priveleges for 30 days.

Actually I dont even think I was going 69. I am soooo mad and sad.

I have a good record now, but about 4-5 years ago I got caught going 52 in a 35 mph zone by a motorcycle cop using his dam radar gun..
Then one week later, on the very same street, in the very same spot, the very same cop got me again going 51.

So that was 2 large speeding tickets in less than a week - I didnt learn my lesson, but after the 2nd one I sure did.

Oh and the tickets were like $200 each So it's a very expensive habit Hanna

I got pulled over in NC a few months ago. I was just driving through. I think he saw my NY license plates, and just didn't like me. Grrrr.

What's the speed limit there? I think it's 65 or something like that right?
I was doing 92.
I told him that I was just going with the flow of traffic, and he told me that I was leading the pack, so he didn't buy it. Wooops.

But then I had to sit in his car while he wrote up the ticket, and he's chatting with me like we were friends or something.
He lowered the ticket to 74 mph, which was cool, but I had to pay a $20 fine, along with a $100 service charge. So it was a $120 ticket, but then I forgot to pay it, so it wound up being a $160 ticket....grrrrr.

I just got off the phone with my lawyer...haha, my lawyer, that sounds funny and he said he'll take care of it for $75.00. He had my last ticked dropped to improper equipment just this past Friday, so no moving violation and no points on my driving record. Last time I had to pay him $100, but he said they "take care of their frequent flyers"...hahaha. So I feel soooo much better now.

This system is corrupt, huh?

I live down here in NC. They do not like speeding around here very much, but a large amount of the cops are pretty friendly. I mean, you can only be so friendly when you get getting fined, but I realize I made a mistake, and just take it like a man. Usually they are in good spirits, and we joke around. There are consequences, and we have to deal with them.

Yeah, at first he was being mean to me.
He was kind of being a wise guy, but that's when I was with my boyfriend, in my car.
But when he got me into his car, he was very friendly ....lmao.

I'm just messin around. He was cool.
I thought he was mean at first, but he wound up being a nice guy. He told me he dropped the speed on my ticket down because this way it wouldn't have any bearing on my insurance, and he felt bad that I still had a long way to drive up to NY.
