NE Pats vs. SD Bolts - Padzz, you going to the game?

I've been trying to keep away from forums as much as I can, part of a New Year's thing. Spend more time doing productive stuff. LOL.

Anyway, my wife was going to get me tickets to their playoff game for Christmas, but she couldn't land them. I almost prefer to watch football at home. BAseball at the park.

This is the only game I'm really worried about. I think if they make it past the Pats, they'll win the SB. THe Pats say they're going to try and take LT outta the game. Well, that's what every team tried to do this year and did that work out?

I'm picking the Pats in an upset. Phillip Rivers hit the rookie wall weeks ago (yes I know he's not really a rookie) and hasn't been playing nearly as well the last several weeks. The playoffs are an entirely different animal from the regular season and the last thing a young QB needs to face in his first playoff game is a well prepared veteran defense like the Pats. Billichek will stack the box, limit LDT and make Rivers beat them with his arm, which won't happen.

You cant stop LT, no way put all eleven guys in the box and he will still burn you...playoffs is nothing more than a hype, not another animal...its just one more game...you arent gonna need rivers in this game because LT is gonna run all over the pats, and sean merriman (however you spell it) is just gonna rape on defense as usual

Yeah, I think SD will win as well. Although, the Pats are tough in the playoffs. Will be a good game. Whoever wins this game, will probably take it all.

Don't you live out that way Padzz (Arizona) - you going to try to land tix to the SB? That would be kickass.

Pats will win. Lt's been stopped before, rivers is a rookie. Ill take Belicheck over Shottenheimer too any day of the week. IMO, it the Pats lost, that would be an upset.

Chargers ass raped NE in NE last year. 41-17 or something. They couldn't stop LT. A guy that's easy to forget is Gates. There's no one on NE that can cover him.
Ya, Rivers is basically a rookie. He's also a pro-bowler. That was by no accident. Ya, NE can win this game, no doubt. If they win, it's cuz Chargers fukked up big time. CHargers are a WAY better team on the field. Both sides of the ball.
Everyone talks about Marty ball. Well, Cam CAmeron is the play caller now. Highest scoring offense.
WIth Merriman and Phillips coming of the edge, it may be a very long day for Marcia Brady.

SD hasnt proven anything yet except they can put a 14-2 regular season together. Indy does that all the time. When was the last time they won a playoff game?

I'm looking forward to the SD vs NE game, this may be the best game of the year.

Big Ben isn't as good as Rivers and the Chargers' team is better than Pitt was. Also, they DID win the SB even with Roesthlisberger sucking balls throughout the playoffs.

I'm not betting my life on this game, but I do think who eer wins this will take the SB.

I like SD dont get me wrong id even like to see them win the game. Ive seen some ****ty playoff games so far this year and some bad cases of "nerves" ala that KC game. Hopefully SD wont let it get to them.

The playoffs are not just another game. The stakes are higher, teams are better prepared and every play is magnified. I do think the Chargers are a better team but the fact it's in the playoffs and Rivers is so young I give the edge to the Pats. It won't surprise me if the Chargers do win though. With that being said, I think Baltimore will win it this year.

Baltimore has the same type of team they had back when they won the SB. Their defense is sick. Flashy offenses are fun to watch but they dont win superbowls. Wouldnt surprise me one bit if they won it all.

you cant base SD on Indy, they are 2 totally different teams...one has the best QB and the other has the best RB...also one has a great defense and the other has the worst run defense in the league....and if the 2 went head to head SD would rape..
