Narcsarge's fire thread reminded me of this, thought I'd share..
Back when I lived in San Diego 2 planes collided over our house. This was the biggest airline tragedy to date in the USA (then). Anyway, I was supposed to be at day care that day, but for whatever reason I didn't go and we weren't home either. That day care that I should have been at got completely destroyed and that's were most of the ground casualties were from. Guess I knew the kids that got killed, but of course I can't remember. Our house got damaged pretty good so my mom took me to Utah to stay with family. Mom fixed the house and we moved to Utah. We still have Time magazines and newspapers from that day and you can see our house in the pics. A few homes were totally destroyed. Guess we were in the right place at the right time. A little history on it: PSA Flight 182 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ASN Aircraft accident description Boeing 727-214 N533PS - San Diego, CA
