Console's
hey guys, i am thinking of getting an x-box 360. Probably at christmas. I was just wondering if any of you have got one and what you think of them. I know ps3 will be coming out butnot for quite a while in uk and to be honest the price of it is a joke, gunna be like 500 quid.

The PS3 will bomb, IMO. Developers are already having trouble porting to Blu-Ray. It'll suffer the same fate the PSP did. Sell incredibly at first, then gaming company's won't be able to develop games, so they'll go an easier console, like they did with the PSP to DS. The PSP crushed the DS at first, now it's not even close, the PSP sucks.
I have a 360 and love it. I have the Pro package, with the wireless controllers. Only problem is the juggernaut games for 360 (Halo 3, GTA 4) don;t come out until late next year.

360 all the way. COD 3 is a great shooter game.......I've been mixing it in the NCAA Football, Madden, COD 2 rotation. I also heard Gears of War is a great game.
I was a Playstation guy until the 360 came out, and I am sure I won't be going back to PS any time soon.

i got a 360 as well but don't have too much time to play it. but it's cool, i like the controllers better than the PS controllers ( i also have a PS2). depending on how PS3 turns out, i might get one next year or so (and i am not even a hardcore gamer
 ) But i think SOny went overboard and tried to do little too much (damn $600 for a gaming system, that's crazy).

Sorry to be inthe minorty but PS3 will be a great supplement.Adrian how canyou say that its difficult to develope for it?
Even if its true,isnt that the case with ps2 as well?  Still it kicked the ass of xbox and game cube.Not to forget it was performance wise way behind xbox and even game cube was slightly supperior!It will sell no matter what.Playstation brand alone is a good reason.Still not sold?Ok so how about the exclusives?Games like Metal gear solid  of patriots,Devil may cry4,Resistance:fall of man(already out and geting rave reviews),Heavenly sword,Final fantasy13,Gran turismo HD,Virtua fighter5 and Tekken6?Out of the 2 "juggernaut games" you mentioned for the xbox360,GTA4 is also coming to PS3. Still i'm not saying that xbox360 is not a great console.Gears of war is a true gem and i'm sure it'll get lots of great games as well.

More games were coming out for the DS that people were interested in. Check the numbers, the DS is crushing the PSP in sales.

Companies like Sega even in there prime floped big time. The Wii is generating alot of buzz but read the reviews for its games.They are avaerage at best.Games like Exite trucks and Wii sports were geting alot of buzz but fell on there face.The only game that i'm looking forwerd to on it is Zelda.By the way it was'nt even a Wii game to begin with. In the end a lot of games are no longer exclusive to one platform.Games like Fear,Half life,Assasin's Creed for example is coming to both PS3 and Xbox360.

Have they been able to utilize both layer of the blu ray disk yet? I know that they had trouble for HDTV this summer. By the way I think blu ray is going to flop because HD-DVD is a much better solution right now. If the blue ray flop so will the PS3.
To me the better gaming platform is the PC.  (Run and hide in a corner)
