Default I got bit!

By a freakin' mosquito on my calf while out running the dogs this morning!
Hello...it's the freakin' middle of November here in western Massachusetts...there should not be any dayumed mosquitoes bitting at this time of the year!

Granted...if I hadn't been out there in shorts filling the horses water tub while the dogs ran off some steam I might not have gotten bit...

I don't see me using my new snow shoes any time soon....

Ugh! One month! KT...that would drive me crazy!

From time to time in the winter we would have a wasp or two 'unthaw' and come out from it's hiding place in the cordwood. We use coal now...so hopefully we won't have any unexpected wasp visitors this winter!

It's overcast, humid and damp up here CC. So unlike a true November day!

ya, if falls along the same lines as madcow, the bird few, poison spinach...
the media talks about it so much here at the begining of summer....overkill. people stop listening. At least I do. You have a bigger chance of getting struck by lightening.

Hornets, bee's, mosq's...etc here in ohio this entire year have been low. I work at a place that works on school buses so obviously theres alot of buses in the yard. Yellow attracts all kinds of these and its very popular to have nest everywhere (n trsut me, on a bus theres alot of possible locations for nest)

This year only a few, last year WOW... huge honey comb'ed nest and large mudd wasp nest everywhere... Got stung so many times, this year I have yet to get stung and its getting cold so I think I will have a successfull year. Least in that category

Edit - n sorry about your bite Amy! Those can be a great annoyance after a bit.

Yikes Virus...do I ever remember that about school busses. Seemed like a nest would appear on my bus overnight sometimes. Both my bases were located next to local streams. So mud hornets were a problem. And the many times I had wasps and yellow jackets come into my windows!
