Default playing guitar
Ok so on of my life goals is to sing with a band. So i decided that one step to achieving that is to learn to play the guitar. Im teaching myself for righ tnow.

My fret hand hurts so bad when Im practicing. The position feels very unnatural. Is it supposed to be?

Can anyone give me some tips for the beginer.

Right now Im just working on an e scale till my fingures and wrist get used ot it.

looks like you have small hands and it may be tough to reach your pinky over to the fourth fret, btw jimi hendrix and eddie van halen are the 2 best guitarists ever. you want inspiration and badass improvisation then listen to their music

I been listening to their music a long time!

Mostly I want to learn the guitar to assist in my vocals.

your elbow is out away from your body and the neck isnt paralel to the floor. Thats the first two things I notice.

Exactly. Once you move your elbow out, neck will tip up automatically. Notice my hand is coming at the neck pretty much straight on. Theres no tension and im totally relaxed.
