Default Whats a good cell phone?
My contract is up on my old phone, and I can renew the contract and get a new phone for dirt cheap.

So I've been looking at reviews online and am leaning towards either the VX8500, the krzr k1m, or the SCH a990. I have verizon so those are the best phones they offer right now.

Anyone have experience with these phones? Just curious. I'm a tech guy so I like having lots of gadgets on my phone, hence the all the listed phones have MP3, camera, and GPS on them

I had a v220 but then I got bored - it was rubbish!
last 5 weeks I've had a V3i, great phone but I'm now bored of it...
coming this weekend - samsung E900 - I've been told it's a good phone

Anything supporting HSDPA high-speed network, that is the future. I have an LG CU500 and is a 3G UMTS phone. This is the new braodband for mobile phones. I connet to my laptop and it is like DSL speed but surfing from it is like Broadband. Hell, I even watch TV on it. Just make sure you live in a city with 3G

Motorola is the brand to get I think. My phone has taken a beating and she keeps kicking and its an older model Motorola.

I have the L7. Overall a kick ass fone especially if you get a clear case. The itunes when you turn the speakers on sound louder than laptop and pretty clear. The only downside would definitely be the low volume during phone conversation. You cannot hear sh!t. You'd either have to turn speaker on and press ur ear against the loud speaker or use headset.

I know it's too late, but I enjoy the sidekick line. I have the sidekick 2, and since I text about 100 times a day, it's perfect. I havent upgraded to the 3, since I already have two mp3 players. I dont really need another on my phone.

I have the same reasoning in phones. I realized that i never use the camera on my phone or the mp3 player. I just bought a Regular Nokia 8890, its like 6 years old... but it rocks.

i have had a few phones and my last one cost me £180, but then it got put in the wash and filled with soap, i was so annoyed that i decided that i wasnt arsed bout paying for expensive phones. So know i have a phone that cost £30 and literally just sends texts and does phone calls, its solid as a rock and i cudnt give a **** what any one thinks, i aint shedding out a ton of money if i break this one.
