Nike!!! Help!!
Ok, for anybody that knows anything about Nike, and the business world
What would you say are some weaknesses of the company?? Im doing SWOT analysis and im stuck for weaknesses... Nike is a pretty damn strong company!

You could maybe call nikes overpriced. Check out Stephon Maurbury's new company http://www.starbury.com/ he sells his shoes for $15 and he says they are the same quality as nikes.

Anyway, I would say one of nikes biggest weaknesses is the competition. Nike can always lower prices - their overhead is their advertising. Part of their marketing scheme is allowing the consumer to purchase a shoe linked to a big name. With nike you arent paying for the shoe since the shoe costs less than $2 to make, but the jordan. This builds the persona that all of nikes shoes are quality (which they are) and worth nearly a hundred dollars a pair (which they arent)

thanks guys.
Unfortunately I wasnt able to see your input... handed in the assignment and I think we pretty much fuked up. I had one dude in my group that didnt write **** on his own.... it was all quoted copywright ****... plus he kept spelling "though" as "thou" and "you" as "u" in his portion of the project.
