We had 2 black cats - brother & sister. The female went for a wander one day & that's the last we saw of her - her brother was crying for her each night for about 2 weeks after, I felt pretty sorry for the poor little guy - now he rules the roost.

Wow that sucks. That's what I've always wondered. Because cats around my neighborhood always wander around, some wander off to my backyard, I always wonder if they know their way back.

We have quite a few beach houses in the family that we visit over the summer & it's easier to get someone to pop around to our place & feed the cat than to organise somewhere for a dog to stay & although dogs are loyal, cats are a bit more intellegent.

My cat has no balls so the spraying isn't a problem - as for the deadness, he's been trained to bring in live stock so most of the time he gives it to us & we let it go (birds, mice & rats mostly).

The reminds me of a story that got me put on a final written warning for harassment at work. I showed this dude a picture of a cat getting abused, and he threatened to kill me....he was all serious like and sh*t. Someone notified HR, and he got fired.
