First year nutrition student at university of alberta. I am only in my first nutrition course this semester ( Nutr 100 ), so I do not have have much experience to give. However, the program itself is not what I was expecting at all. It is centered around the Canada food guide
, and not on nutritional biochemstry, hopefully the higher level courses will contain some of the "good stuff" or else I will probably switch into an organic chemistry major. Take the intro course on nutrition before you switch majors, just my advice.
