I hate to be the one to hate on these types of movies but dang, they are getting out of control. Think about how desensitized we are becoming, 30 years ago something like this would of straight up freaked our country out. I saw the first one, and I regret it, ya it was clever, made you think, but it was so gruesome. I just do not see why people need to get that kind of stuff in their head, or why they want to. Its absolutely horrific images and situations, and what makes it scary is that people thought of them. I dunno, it seems like the only way a horror movie is good is if it shocks people. And once people get used to something you have to go even further to get the same shock value, so where will it all end? I have a feeling it wont end somewhere good. Sorry for all that, but regardless, the movies, judging from the first one are smart. At least there is some story and anticipation to it rather than like Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is just violence for the sake of violence.

If I want to see a scary movie, it should be able to scare me with minimal gore. If I want to see a funny scary movie then it should be gory as hell but more of a humorous type of gore than a sadistic type of gore.

I saw the second one and it wasnt great. Never saw the first one and wont see the third one... I dont know I just dont feel interested by scary movies. I love comedies, i mean the movie actually does somthing for you, makes you laugh.
BTW the texas chain saw massacre is like it is because its based on a true story...

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre wasn't based on a true story. Really it was 'influenced' by a real-life serial killer by the name of Ed Gein.
Most movies that say they are based on a true story really aren't. Just influences maybe
