Here's 2 Turratella's (extinct Snail creature)
The one on the left, if was intact and not broken, would be of record size and museum quality. The one on the right is the best, most complete one I have and as you can see the other is a monster compared to it |

Hey Fitme Yeah I could donate the nicer pieces sure, but what fun is that LOL On october 21st I am going to the world famous SHARKTOOTH HILL in Bakersfield. It's on private land, but I am paying $75 to the musuem to go on a group event which they do once a year. This place is the richest fossil content of creatures on the planet. You can take a shovel and in one scoop, you'd have like 15 shark teeth. The biggest is from a extinct shark called a Megalodon, sort of like a great white, but the size of a giant whale But you can also find extinct carniverous sea lions, all kinds of whales and verts and teeth, land animals liek extinct camels, mastadons, tigers, etc..etc.. It's truely a once in a lifetime experience. I expect to come back with a HUGE assortment and then I can really have a great collection. |

I understand what you are saying...
Nite is speaking from a biblical perspective. But maybe the numbers are off. Maybe the 5,000 is supposed to be 5 billion or 500 million and was lost in translation....I dont know, I just know I believe God. But this is a fossil thread not a debate over religion, faith and God |
