Default My baby's not a baby anymore
Well some of you know yesturday was my first born's 18th b'day. Omg I feel so old...how the time flies .

As of 5am this morning he is now property of the United States Navy.

He was in his second semester of Culinary school to be a chef. And just decided he wanted to go throught the Navy Seals program.


I only cried a couple time yesturday. But today is emotional. The sware in this morning is just another reminder he's a man now. BOOO HOOO HOOO hOO

time for a vacation now!

I still have 12 years before my oldest is sent off...he wants to be a meteorologist....this week anyway.

They do grow up quickly dont they!

My son still wants to be a Fireman which is a good sign. I dont feel too old yet!

Gosh, my daughter wants to be a Tow truck driver.. A care bear tow truck driver or a Fire girl as she calls it!!.

The other day in the car we were talking and she said to me "What the"??? I was like WTF.. Picked it up from the bad *ss boys in school! PS, they all have a crush on her!!.. Big brown eyes and long brown hair!! Just like mom!!

You gotta love em!

Awww...Hugs for KT. I went through that feeling with all three.

I took my oldest out for breakfast on his 18th. My middle son turned 18 in basic training for the Air Force and then when my daughter turned 18 I think I was the most blue!

Kudos on raising such a determined son. Sounds like he goes after what he wants.

My mom was very emotional when my brother joined the Marines when he was 18, so I'm sure it's gotta be tough for a mom to realize that her boy's finally grown up.
Uggggg. I'm gonna keep mine at 6 forever.

At least he's out of the 14-17 age bracket that most kids use for an excuse to hate the world - hopefully you got lucky & have one that never went through this but I see it with friends of ours kids ...... it's quite amusing at times .

Did you manage to get that webpage done for him?

14-17 was unbelievable! There were a couple times I didn't think he'd make it to 18 no doubt. We went thru the ringer with him.

As far as the web site. No I didn't get to do it for him for yesturday. It seems like whenever I sit down to do a project requiring my time, the others get demanding. It was sort of short notice to get one done in an evening. The dream web site has a 24 hour approval period so Im all set now. I haven't given up. I will have it for his graduation from basic training. I want to have it were all friends and family can sign the guestbook,and show there suppport.

Just got off the phone with the boy. He is so stoked about the navy. He will be Culinary specialist.(chef) it was funny ...he said "ya mom I like the idea of when they pipe "man your battle stations" I'll be running off to the kitchen to eat"

No offense to the man in any woman's life, but there is no better sound than the voice of your child.. Even if they are screaming "You ruined my life, I hate you"... LOL. Oh god, thank god I have a good 12 or so years to hear that!!
