This is the first I heard about it. People run base gates from time to time. Not a big deal, just idiots.

Jlo, just to shed some light on the topic, I use to work in N.C. as a cop. Jacksonville is home to Camp Lejune and at least once a year they had some Marine or civilian run a guard post. Only once were "shots fired" and that was because the perps were Marines fleeing MP's. I am willing to bet that any base located in a larger city will have it's share of these stories.

We get drunks all the time on the weekend trying to give guards money for the highway toll. Too bad it's a base entrance and not the highway though, lmao. Good way to give yourself a dui.
