Hey! I watch it because I don't have to pay attention to it to understand it. Like watching paint dry!

You guys are funny, thinking its all fake.....Lets be a little reasonable here and conclude that of course the plot lines are fake, and the moves are done to try and not injure the other guy, but things happen, and dudes do get hurt, and have even died.

yes... falling from great heights while doing stunts, not actually trying to kill each other. Its only when things go tits up does it look interesting.
UFC is the grown mans entertainment, no story lines, no 80's spandex, no long hair on grown men and where everything is real lol.

i was watching a wcw (it isnt around anymore) ppv called stargate [some number]. anyways, there was a match with 2 rings connected together and a cage over both rings. one of the wrestlers (kevin nash) tried making his way to the next ring and his leg got all tangled in the camera mans wire. it took him like 10 seconds to get untangled lol!

And what exactly is there to think about while watching UFC? There are no storylines. Its just mainly circling for 10 minutes, on the ground for another 5, and a quick KO.
And yes, I do watch UFC, I live in Vegas so it's almost a prerequisite. But I find WWE more entertaining. If I were a mark, and thought it was all real, then yes it'd be boring. But when you keep up with all of the behind the scenes stuff, politics, and what not, then it takes a whole different view. That's what I do. At any rate, there's only two things I'd like to point out. First off, these guys are legit athletes. Let's not take away from the fact that what they do is tremendously difficult. Second, guys are getting busted for steroids left and right these days. Even higher test levels are being suspended. So the drug thing is getting taken care of. |

I like watching but I dislike having to sit through hours of crap just to get to a match up...however it can be a laugh just waiting and betting on who comes out to protect the girl or stop someone getting beaten down etc
plus sometimes they say some funny sh1t, like John Cena recently said "Your face was gonna be all over the cover but they did some market research and found that your face scares children..."

I cant stand the Ultimate Fighter. Especially last season, where they would talk back to their teachers. Learn some *uckin discipline, you spoiled punk. You think because you took Tae Kwon Do and was on Final Fu or some shat like that you can talk back to someone who has been a champion?
All the hazing and pranks are dumb too, like that guy's ball that was deflated. I wish he woulda whooped that guys' ass right then and there. There's absolutely no respect at all, and it's infuriating for me to watch, despite seeing the guys around town all the time. |

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, 5 title defenses In 1999 Ortiz fought Frank Shamrock for the UFC Middleweight (200 pound) title at UFC 22, losing via submission due to strikes. Following the victory, Shamrock retired and vacated the championship. The Middleweight title was renamed the Light Heavyweight title and Ortiz was chosen along with Wanderlei Silva as the top contenders. Their title fight at UFC 25 left Ortiz the champion via unanimous decision. Ortiz would successfully defend the belt five times in the following three years, defeating Yuki Kondo, Evan Tanner, Elvis Sinosic, Vladimir Matyushenko and Lion's Den head Ken Shamrock, who had held a grudge with Ortiz since the Mezger incident. |
