Anyone here in the Military?

Just wondering as I am contemplating joining the Canadian Armed Forces. I'm bored with my job and see little room for advancement (I'm a GIS technician/urban planner) and I need a challenge/life change. I went the recruiting office and everything sounds amazing but I'd like to hear a personal opinion.

I served 4 proud years in the US Air Force.

Canadian miltary is a joke. i live in cold lake, the biggest military training centre in canada... and they do absolutly nothing all day. youll go to the gym at like 1:30 when youre rained out from work and the military guys always seem to be there when they should be doing something constructive for my tax payer money; they sit around and chit chat, then go do some leg extensions, stretch and chat for an hour.. there all weak as **** its almost comical. Canada has 4 planes that are ready in case of war..lol. and yet all these useless people do nothing wasting away tax payer money. Canada relies on the US in case of war, truth is our tax money would be better spent funding the US military

so if i was you... the best way to serve your country would be to not waste tax payers money and actually contribute something to society. i cant even begin to tell you the idiot **** these retards do and say every day.. **** me.

im in the Air Force, and i love it. the canadian air force comes down here once a year for our airshow. They pull off so pretty sweet ass tricks in there planes too.

well i love canada.. i really do, but the military here just disgusts me. the type of people they get is almost comical.. its hard to explain but in short they are useless.

if canada ever got in some kind of trouble we would be effed without the states and thats a fact.

BUT we are the champions of hockey.. which is my chosen sport, so HA!

(but i guess you guys got us beat on.. baseball,football,soccer,basketball,badminton,tenn is,bodybuilding,the olympics etc..)

i wish you guys could come to the military end of cold lake (its where the gym is i have to go there).. just so you could see what im talking about, all dweebs taht think there hardcore for just being in a gym. i could get more into it but then ill just ruin my day.
