Default does anybody know...

Does anybody know of any music similiar to Jay-Z and Linkin Park's Collision Course cd? Or what about a band who has sampled another person's music from a different genre? Example ... Red Hot Chili Peppers played Tiny Dancer by Elton John at a concert. Rascal Flatts recently did Life is a Highway. Stuff like that...

only other one I can think of is Aerosmith + Run DMC lol, I guess you already knew that one but you may also like to hear Skindred - it's kind of a crossover between Reggae and Metal

I reckon he's after songs from one genre like metal where someone from another genre like rap did a cover - however if you want a great cover, try Enjoy the Silence by Lacuna Coil, IMO much better than the depeche mode version...

Faith No More did 'Easy' (Lionel Richie cover).

Ozzy Osbourne - Stayin' Alive

Metallica's Garage Days album is full of covers of old punk songs.

The Soundtrack for 'Spawn' also has different genre groups collaborating on songs (Metal & Electro) as does the soundtrack for 'Judgement Night' (Hip Hop & Metal).

I think Deathstars did a cover of White Wedding by Billy Idol - not heard it but I've never disliked anything by deathstars lol

also Fear Factory - cars (Gary Numan cover) and Roadrunner United - The Rich Man (Slipknot cover)

Pet Shop Boys also did a cover of Mein Teil by Rammstein

if you like metallica, have you heard Apocalyptica? Basically it's 4 cellists who decided to do metallica covers with no vocals - great for in the background

ah man I hated that KoRn cover! If you watch the video you can see Lars and James from Metallica're enjoying it but that ruined the original for me...

I agree, they should have tried to cover another song maybe "enter sandman" or something. Munky is not good enough to play Kirk Hammett.

To add to the list,

Creed covered a couple of The Doors songs; Riders on the Storm and Roadhouse Blues.

A pathetic cover of Sweet Child of Mine from Sheryl Crow.
